A 115gr 9mm bullet is .355in and, depending on the barrel length travels at 950-1150fps.
00 Buckshot is .33in. My Federal 3inch mags have 15 of those pellets and they travel at 1200fps.
Do the math.
When shooting my Mossberg 509s with those 3in mags, it kicks like a mule. Twice that of my ought 6.
Out to 75-100ft the 12 gauge shotgun is the most powerful and effective small arm on the planet. The Marines still use the 509s and credit it to the effective clearing of Falluja, Iraq.

I read that A man was shot, and he ran into PP, yelling for someone to call 911. Apparently, Dear ran in after him. Reading the bits and pieces it would appear that he wasn’t “targeting” PP, but just ran in there after someone.
I need to go back and find the different witnesses and put the two accounts together. Perhaps the man who ran into PP was that Iraq war vet running in to warn them to stay inside and call for help- especially trying to protect his GF.

I know. I was challenging the narrative that he was targeting PP, because he may have only ended up inside there because he ran after the Iraq vet he shot.
I was just trying to piece that part together. I was on the live thread, reading the chatter as FRepers reported it. I remember reports that the first person shot was by the eye clinic, which is about a quarter mile from PP, according to the info I have read. The media knows this and is desperately trying to tie this to pro lifers, no matter the actual facts.

Anecdotally, I’ve noticed that the Proggies on my FB friends list have been conspicuously and strangely quiet about this.
I chalked it up to them being just smart enough to realize that after a couple weeks of touting the “don’t judge many by the actions of an extremist few” following Paris, they’d have those words thrown back in their faces if they started in on Christians and gun owners here.
The witness (in the business next door to the bank) recalled the police “fly into our parking lot with lights flashing and everything” and then to the back of Chase bank. She and her co-workers then saw police surrounding the bank and heard shots being fired. She said she saw the first officer down, and stated the shots appeared to have come from behind the bank’s drive thru. This took place about a quarter mile from PP.
I don’t know if he was planning to rob the bank, but witnesses say he was shooting at police, who came “flying” with lights flashing to Chase bank well before he ended up at PP. I am just putting 1 + 1 together.
