As the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was unfolding, a high-ranking Pentagon official urgently messaged Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s top deputies to offer military help, according to an email obtained by Judicial Watch.
The revelation appears to contradict testimony Defense Secretary Leon Panetta gave lawmakers in 2013, when he said there was no time to get forces to the scene in Libya, where four Americans were killed, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens.

how does he now there was not enough time? the only way you could know was after the fact. no one knew how long the attack would last.

I am willing to bet that ValJar issued the stand-down order, and General Ham said, "I don't take orders from you," so she called his deputy and ordered him to relieve General Ham.
Would not surprise me.
Pisses me off endlessly. F-18’s could of been there pretty quickly and even just a high speed pass probably would of ended the attack. The drone on site could of been crashed into the mortar location. Lots of options.
