Donald Trump's support comes from every Republican ideology but not every class
LAT ^ | Dec 11; 2015 | By David Lauter

>Support for Donald Trump divides the Republican electorate along lines of class but not ideology with blue-collar voters — those without a college degree — giving him his biggest base of support.

The divide between the GOP's blue-collar and white-collar wing has shown up repeatedly in polls throughout the election season. It's clearly on display in new findings released Friday by SurveyMonkey, the online polling firm, which has been tracking the electorate since early this summer.

Trump's support varies little by ideology. His backers closely mirror the distribution of very conservative, conservative and moderate voters within Republican ranks, SurveyMonkey's data show.

That's a contrast with some other candidates. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, for example, draws heavily from the party's most conservative faction and does poorly with moderates. Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida, does well among moderates but poorly among those who call themselves very conservative.

Instead of an ideological division, Trump has taken advantage of the sharp class divide among Republicans. He has consolidated support of the party’s blue-collar, non-college-educated wing, while the party’s more affluent, college-educated voters remain split among several candidates.

That just ells you what kind of brainwashing and disinformation goes on at college these days.

It was college folks who voted in the far-and-away worst President in U.S. history. College has become the breeding ground of the Left.

If boring and perpetually piss-offed Jeb Trump is doing so well with the moderates, why isn’t it showing up his poll numbers?

Within the MOE Trump does about as well with college educated as the others!

The media is twisting the positive news of his good support from non-college into a negative.

Precisely. Trump/Cruz on paper is the smart ticket. Likely produces at least 12 years of Couterrevolution. Perhaps more if Ivanka comes along in 2024 for a Cruz/Trump follow up. Dem bench already decimated by O, so pendulum swing could be deep and sharp—counting on successful policy. I have hopes that a populist Trump relying heavily on mechanics of Constitutionalist Cruz would start out with a legal attack on flood of illegal immigrants the progressive populists promise at the polls. Go to court to stop it, and indicate if elected, the organizations will be investigated for federal felony criminal conspiracy.

Of the people I know who are Trump fans (maybe not enough to actually vote FOR him) they are all college educated, some with very advanced degrees and certainly across the board on there occupations, i.e. financial planners, bankers, lawyers, business owners, doctors, teachers at all levels of school but maybe not college but certainly I'm hearing lots of cheering on most of what Trump says.

Whenever I go to any kind of social outings, all I hear is, "Did you hear what Donald Trump said about.......?" or "Wow, I can't believe that someone actually said what I've been thinking and yelling at the television for years!"

When Americans went to the polls in 2012, the following was true: Work-force participation had sunk to its lowest level in 35 years, wages had fallen below 1999 levels, and 47 million Americans were on food stamps. Yet Mitt Romney, the challenger to the incumbent president, lost lower- and middle-income voters by an astonishing margin. Among voters earning $30,000 to $50,000, he trailed by 15 points, and among voters earning under $30,000 he trailed by 28 points.

Discounting the Ivy League rats for life, how many of the Obama voters and Clintoon voters have even finished grade school or junior high.

This bs trying to make Trump voters look like dumb knuckle draggers is another lie pushed by the left wing mediots.

How much of this latest and past anti Trump bs is being financed by the Opecker Princes, who are living in fear of a Trump presidency?

The Saudi Opecker Princes have been buying presidents since Jimmy Carter, Clintoon, the Bushes, Obama and now want their pawned/owned B$tch to become our president.

David Lauter needs to do an elitist breakdown of Hillary’s backers... I’d like to know something about how the well educated members of Baltimore’s inner city are going to vote and how high they got in their schooling went...

Oh wait, I forgot - the press is biased....

Exactly! I’ve been wondering when someone was going to examine Trump’s appeal among blue-collar Democrats. I suspect that his support within the rank and file of registered Democrats is a lot greater than anyone thinks.

I dare the media to try to make it into a negative that Trump has majority support from blue-collar workers, considering the education level of one of the ‘rats most consistent voting blocs. And they can’t even say that they’re blue collar workers, they’re just parasites off the blue collar and every other kind of worker.
