DECEMBER 22--Angered by her husband’s repeated farting in bed, a Florida woman allegedly elbowed, kicked, and scratched her spouse, according to police who arrested her for battery.
Dawn Meikle, 55, is facing a misdemeanor charge following a 3:20 AM confrontation in the Port St. Lucie home she shares with her husband Donald.
As detailed in a December 11 arrest affidavit, Donald told cops that “while he was lying in bed he passed gas,†which prompted Dawn to begin “elbowing him on his arm.â€
When Donald’s flatulence continued, “Dawn began kicking him and eventually kicked him out of their bed,†police noted. Donald said that he eventually returned to bed, where he “passed gas again.†Not surprisingly, “Dawn began elbowing and kicking him again.â€
Donald said that he subsequently sought to restrain his wife, who repeatedly scratched him across his chest. Cops reported that Donald had four or five six-inch scratches on his chest, and that his t-shirt was ripped in three places.
During police questioning, Dawn said that she had “asked Donald several times to stop passing gas in their bed.†But when his flatulence persisted, Dawn admitted, she “began elbowing and kicking him.†Dawn suffered a bloody lip in the fracas, but she told police that Donald “was restraining me and somehow my lip got split open.â€
Dawn also told cops that while she was in the bathroom calling 911, she “sprayed pepper spray in the air to keep Donald out of the restroom.â€
Pictured above, Dawn was booked into the county jail on the battery charge. Free on bond, she is scheduled for a December 28 arraignment on the misdemeanor count. (2 pages)
I am not sure who the victim is in this story. Just sayin’....
Never mind. I looked at the article. She is obviously guilty.
So, two questions come to mind...
1. Is it his fault?
2. Really?
3. What did she cook for dinner?

I agree “Black Farts Matter.”
If a woman can be arrested for elbowing or kicking her husband after he farts in bed, a lot of women are in trouble.
This story smells.
They aren’t saying if he was giving her a payback for her Aunt Flow farts.
Maybe Bean-o or some gas reliever is in order. Or separate bedrooms..
Time for a divorce.
I swear my Ex spiked the brown beans more than once.
Hmm, explains my mystery bruises I get ever so often.
And there is no excuse for beating on someone even if they did just turn the air green.

I’m not sure how to respond to this:
It was assault. Had it been reversed people would be calling for the man’s head. But since it was the woman doing the assaulting, it was funny.
And it was funny. I mean, cmon... farting on your wife in bed and she getting mad... you gotta be pretty stuck up not to think thats funny. Heck, my wife did it to me.
And as far as the man... what is he? A fragile snowflake man? Can’t take an elbow from his wife without calling the cops?
And the wife? Is she that much of a prude?
So I don’t know... and I really don’t care either way.
From the looks of Dawn it seems like Donald may have been lucky to survive.
I get elbowed, kicked and occasionally tickled every night to stop my snoring. Not nice kicks either.
The worst was when I shared a tent with a buddy. He hauled off and kicked me hard.
We laughed pretty hard about that one.
Farts don’t kill people...
wait.
Never mind.
If you haven’t been dutch ovened , you just haven’t been married long enough.
He shouldn’t have held her head under the covers.
