But once again, the Bush White House had us covered: A press plane flew out with the president, and back then, reporters could pay $100 per family member for the plane ride. So sometimes, the family went along. For the kids, it was an adventure; for me, well, we were all together ...
All that has changed with President Obama. No more press plane, for one. Reporters are on their own -- so taking family is, say, $1,000 a pop. Not likely. And this president would never delay his trip to his island getaway. He's off every year well before Christmas. Hundreds and hundreds head off with him, leaving family behind ...

Our communist said a lot of things, with no more respect for truth than we saw from Lenin. Few of the things our drug-addled dictator said were true other than his promise to fundamentally transform what used to be the most prosperous and most free country in the world.
Bush was/is a decent man, protected America and treated people, his staff and the military well. He also respected the office. The complete opposite of what we have now.
Despite the abuse heaped on them by many FReepers, the bushes were great caring people.

That is very telling. President Bush only charged members of the MSM $100 per family member to fly on a government plane and Obama charges $1000!
This is all indicative of how Obama treats the media and even feels entitled to hike up airfares on the MSM by ten fold to keep that costs from having to be paid by him. This shows how Obama does not understand the economic problems faced by working class members of the DC media.
Does Obama understand it’s Christmas? And does he understand that reporter’s families should only pay $100 to fly to Hawaii?
Maybe that's why we didn't hear of Secret Service lapses while George Bush was President. With this poseur, there seems to be some security breach or controversy involving the Secret Service every other week. Could it be the Secret Service doesn't like the king and his wookie?

That’s awful.
But more so it is troubling that Obama has taken the power of spending away from the House and Senate and denied your increase in Social Security.
Have you called one of your senators or Congressman to find out how Obama nixed your expected Social Security increase?
There are multiple reasons to have policy disagreements with both George H.W Bush and George W. Bush as Presidents. Further, while both men were more conservative than socialist, they enabled the advancement of collectivism through the lack of commitment to constitutional limits and individual liberty.
That said, they were both fine men who took thier responsibilities to the nation seriously and tried very hard to take care of the people in their charge. In W’s case he kept people on long after they should have been fired out of his sense of loyalty.
The Clintons and Obama treat their people contemptibly. The Clintons ultimately see employees as tools to use to advance their fortunes. Obama looks at people as tools to advance his ideology. In both cases, people are disposable if they do not advance the agenda.
And yet....the media crawl over one another to cover for him.

Does anyone know whether the Obama family attended church services this year while in Hawaii on Christmas day? I seem to remember that they only went once during his 2 terms - in 2012 - when it was an election year.
