American is caught up in the Great Falling Away and the Church Age is almost at an end. Maranatha

I agree. Come Lord Jesus.

I doubt 10% of Americans are Christians. If you poll and ask for belief in things clearly taught in the Bible, you won’t get numbers like 70-80% “Christian”...

Sadly, you are most likely correct.

We have plenty of nominal "Christians" in America. Ask them two or three questions, and you realize they are not Christian at all.

1. Is Jesus the only way to heaven?

2. Is the Bible 100% true and the inspired Word of God?

3. Do you believe in the Virgin Birth and the Resurrection?

You won't get 80% of American "Christians" to answer those accurately - and you most likely won't get 8% either.

Matthew 7: 13-14

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

A guy a work with claims to be Christian, then he vehimently defended his opinion that Thanksgiving had nothing to do with God, it was all about family and friends and being thankful for them.
After I stared at him like an alien for a few seconds, I just asked him to look it up. To his credit, he did.

Careful for what you wish for Jay. In the not too distant future you may find yourself pondering the lost benefits of Christian tolerance & charity as you plummet from some high rooftop.

I would recommend a Ruger mini-14. They’re handy to use and dead reliable.

I’m a woman who doesn’t know much about guns...went to a shooting range for one day a couple of years ago and shot a 9mm....I was always low and to the left. That is the extent of my experience.

Thanks for the info!

Well FRiend, I’m a man with many years of shooting experience. I’m not an expert on handguns or women, however. I carry a 9mm, and in my experience, it’s problematic choice. The ones I’ve found convenient to carry are often not particularly ergonomic to use, and the inverse seems true as well. I f you plan to carry, try one of everything until you find what you like. My recommendation was in the line of home defense rather. A light carbine that most women of my knowledge can handle without difficulty.

Good luck in your quest.

The scapegoats are out there hunting Christians with ever increasing bag limits.

I have my great-great grandfather’s old Smith & Wesson
revolver. He was a lightkeeper on the Tenn. River early
last century. It’s lightweight, steady and LOUD. - They
used to make their own ammo for it. Daddy used to sit at
the kitchen table and pour the melted metal into the
bullet molds like he had seen his dad and grandfather do.
I have lots of earplugs, and LOUD is good I think. -
It was rough on the river back then; may still be.

It’s all out in the open but so many of our fellow Americans are absolutely clueless. Yes, we can blame the media, our failed public school system, and the worthless opposition provided by the GOP. All of these things and more are factors in the country’s senseless leftist drift to oblivion, but at some point we have to finger the blame on ourselves. I was raised in hardcore leftist New England, spoon fed all the lefty nonsense from religion to the environment in public school, and was a liberal Democrat until I was nearly thirty. At that point I came to realize that liberalism was a fraud. When morality was being ridiculed and downgraded by liberals in the public debate, and things like a crucifix in urine was accepted as meaningful expressions of art and Christmas displays such as the manger were being taken down in cities across America that was the end of my association with the Democratic Party. I woke up as did millions of other Democrats. The current batch of brainwashed lefties need to do so as well if we’re going to save our nation.

I watched my father cast bullets on many an afternoon.

Nothing much will match the reliability of a S&W revolver or an old man. I suspect your great great grandfather was a real one.

Christianity has survived the onslaught from Satan for a couple of centuries and it will continue to do so. I’ve read the book and we prevail in the end. I am sorry that your hatred of your own life makes you hate others. But there is an answer for you. You only need to open your heart to Jesus to be healed. Love is always better the hate. Give it a try.

Guys like this LOVE to preach to Christians what Christianity really is while at the same time saying every atrocity committed by Islamists has nothing to do with Islam.

But the good news is that there is still time to come to faith in Jesus. “With God all things are possible.”
