Climate Models Have Been Wrong About Global Warming For Six Decades
The Daily Caller ^ | December 28, 2015 | Michael Bastasch

Posted on 12/28/2015 11:07:05 PM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

.........."Everyone by now is familiar with the 'pause' or 'slowdown' in the rate of global warming that has taken place over the past 20 years of so, but few realize is that the observed warming rate has been beneath the model mean expectation for periods extending back to the mid-20th century-60+ years," Patrick Michaels and Chip Knappenberger, climate scientists at the libertarian Cato Institute, write in a working paper released in December.

Michaels and Knappenberger compared observed global surface temperature warming rates since 1950 to what was predicted by 108 climate models used by government climate scientists to predict how much carbon dioxide emissions will warm the planet.

What they found was the models projected much higher warming rates than actually occurred.

[SNIP]

"This is a devastating indictment of climate model performance," Michaels and Knappenberger write. "For periods of time longer than about 20 years, the observed trends from all data sources fall beneath the lower bound which contains 95 percent of all model trends and in the majority of cases, falls beneath even the absolute smallest trend found in any of the 102 climate model runs."

http://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/264349-texas-rounds-out-state-lawsuits-against-epa-ozone-rule

“Texas has filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration over its new ozone rule, bringing the tally of states challenging the regulations to nine.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said Monday that the state opposes the stricter limit on surface-level ozone because compliance with the rule would hurt business in the state.

“Areas of the country that fail to comply with these impossible standards will be subject to costly new regulations that will harm our economy and kill jobs,” Paxton said in a statement.

“Texas has proven that we can reduce ambient ozone concentrations without stifling growth, and my office will continue to defend our state from the EPA’s harmful and overreaching regulations.”

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) this year finalized a plan to cut the amount of acceptable surface-level ozone from 75 to 70 parts per billion.

The rule change drew fierce criticism from Republicans and business groups, which have argued that the new level will be difficult and costly to comply reach. Business and manufacturer groups sued the government over rule last week.

Environmentalists and public health organizations have defended the change against those challenges, but they’ve sued as well, saying the EPA should have limited ozone even more.

Paxton challenged the rule in federal court last week, ahead of a Christmas Day deadline for lawsuits against it.

Another group of states, led by Arizona, challenged the rule in October, questioning whether the EPA conducted an appropriate scientific review before issuing the new standards. Nine states in total - Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Kentucky, New Mexico, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Utah and Wisconsin - are fighting the ozone standards.” [end]

Data , logic and truth means nothing to a liberal.
It’s not about the weather , it’s about a global tax they can skim from.

I will translate this for you.

The climate models fall apart when used with actual temperature measured in the past. In short the climate models are garbage. They do not work. When you plug in past temperatures into the climate models they predict much higher temperatures than we actually have. The models do not work. The only place the climate models work is where the past temperatures have been “adjusted.” These adjustments violate ever premise of scientific theory. It is a fraud.

This would be like an accountant that can not balance the books decides to put a plus or minus into the accounts receivable to make them balance. The law calls actions such as this fraud.

Satellite data show no global warming for 20 years. The warmist simply ignore this data. That is scientific fraud.

IT IS REALLY THIS SIMPLE.

Physicist Howard Hayden's one-letter disproof of global warming claims [pre-Climategate]

Dear Administrator Jackson:

I write in regard to the Proposed Endangerment and Cause or Contribute Findings for Greenhouse Gases Under Section 202(a) of the Clean Air Act, Proposed Rule, 74 Fed. Reg. 18,886 (Apr. 24, 2009), the so-called "Endangerment Finding."

It has been often said that the "science is settled" on the issue of CO2 and climate. Let me put this claim to rest with a simple one-letter proof that it is false.

The letter is s, the one that changes model into models. If the science were settled, there would be precisely one model, and it would be in agreement with measurements.

Alternatively, one may ask which one of the twenty-some models settled the science so that all the rest could be discarded along with the research funds that have kept those models alive.

We can take this further. Not a single climate model predicted the current cooling phase. If the science were settled, the model (singular) would have predicted it.

(excerpted from Professor Hayden's letter to Lisa P. Jackson, Administrator Environmental Protection Agency. More at link.)

The climate models fall apart when used with actual temperature measured in the past. In short the climate models are garbage. They do not work.

On the contrary, the models are working exactly as designed.

They are predicting a catastrophic global warming trend that demands strong action by a socialist world government that can restrict industry and collect taxes worldwide so as to redistribute wealth from first world countries to third world countries.

The models are providing exactly the results required of them by the New World Overlords.

It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong.

Well.. Global socialists doubled down on it anyway... To, um, stick it to ISIS, ISIL...and anyone else who thought we might be strongly worded wimps. We all know it’s just a global scheme to empower anybody but the US... Which in turn, hits Israel. Go Ted!

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

And there are innumerable evolutionists and global warmists who will tell you that the theory is sound, they just need to find the right information.

Kind of like Bush getting out of his reservist commitments. The theory was truth, just needed the right documents.

The models use a set of data points. None of the models successfully predict temperature after the data points. None of them can be used to calculate temperature BEFORE the the data points either. They only fit the data points used to create the model. The people who design such models would get an F if they were the students and not the professors.

“2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.”

Actually the Sun is a nuclear furnace. There is no fire as fire requires oxygen.

I suggest altering your list to say “2. The sun is giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.”

They (the lyin' left pseudo-scientists) were postulating a new ice age back in the 70s. I don't recall any warming talk until about the last 25 years or so, but memory's one of the first things to go!

For perspective:

The “Peak Oil” theory of commodities was wrong. We didn’t run out.

The “Inflation Theory” was wrong about economics. We didn’t get hyper-inflation from QE money-printing.

The “Global Warming” theory was wrong about climate. Elites aren’t selling their beachfront villas ahead of rising oceans.

“String Theory” was wrong about physics. It turns out that quantum mechanics and Relativity can’t be resolved/correct simultaneously after all.

Goodness. Settled science, indeed!

Unless covered by national security, all source code and its’ supporting documentation for software developed at tax payer expense is public domain and can be obtained with a FOIA request. Fill out the paper work and submit it to the FOIA office of NOAA in either Silver Spring or Camp Spring MD and they must respond within either 30 or 90 days.

Of particular interest should by the “mathematical” algorithms written in fortran 3 more than 40 years ago that are still in use. I would ask for the regression test results and info about the costs associated with paying for the development of a backwards compatible fortran cross compiler and “any” analysis or proof of correctness for algorithms written by programmers who either retired or died long ago and failed to document there code on more modern hardware. This is their Achilles heel. They will fail any independent audit for correctness.
