Sanders: Bill Clinton's scandals 'totally disgraceful'
The Hill ^ | 1/08/16 | Lisa Hagen

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Friday called Bill Clinton's sexual scandals "totally disgraceful and unacceptable" but said he would not use the former president's infidelities against Hillary Clinton.

Sanders' comments came after an Iowa town hall attendee raised Bill Clinton's affair in the White House and questioned if Hillary Clinton was qualified to be president, the Washington Post reported.

"My question to you is, isn't one of the qualifications to be president to have some kind of moral authority?," the attendee asked Sanders. "I mean, how can you tell a Secret Service agent that he has to be fired for having an affair with a prostitute in a hotel room, but support a president who has an affair - a known affair - in the White House. It seems to me she isn't qualified."

"I hear what you're saying," Sanders responded. "Hillary Clinton is not Bill Clinton. What Bill Clinton did, I think we can all acknowledge was totally, totally, totally disgraceful and unacceptable.

"But I am running against Hillary Clinton. I am not running against Bill Clinton," he continued. "What we need to do as a nation is focus on the bloody issues facing this country."

Sanders said he would not discuss the personal lives of his rivals and would instead focus on the issues.

"I am not going to get into the personal stuff," Sanders said, according to The Washington Examiner. "We're looking at somebody who, in a long political career - you can call my friends in Vermont to verify this - I've never run a negative TV ad in my life.

"I am running against Hillary Clinton, we're not running against Bill Clinton," Sanders continued. "But I am running against Hillary Clinton, and I believe ... what we need to do as a nation - certainly something the Republicans are not doing - is focus on the bloody issues facing this country."

Bill Clinton's past is again under scrutiny after Donald Trump raised his past infidelities, calling him "one of the great woman abusers of all time."

Trump defended his attacks, saying Bill Clinton was fair game after Hillary Clinton accused the GOP front-runner of having a "penchant for sexism."

If Hillary gave *Bubba a kitchen pass for a romp on Orgy Island, the Bern may need to find that out instead of just blowing off other RAT'S crimes.

I have no doubt that hillary is an enabler of the worst kind. Her allowing his behavior exemplifies a "me first" character trait that doesn't distinguish right from wrong when there's something in it for her.

From an ethical view, it totally disqualifies her to be President. It should have disqualified her as Secretary of State, in favor of someone who wouldn't have attitude like "what difference does it make"? about Benghazi.

The same Bernie Sanders that said “Bill Clinton’s sexual history not fair game”?

Those rat-brats [the typical DNC voter] would scream bloody murder if Sanders went ‘Trump’ on Hellery.

In the end he could bring them around, but too many of them are emotionally invested in the 90s Lance-a-lot from Camelot. It would be a painful, screeching, riotous state of emergency. And that scares Bernie. Understandable.

But to face down a Screeching Woman reminiscent of Germania, it takes Trumlike guts.

It would have hurt her pocketbook to support Bill’s victims. With Hillary, money is more important than womens’ rights. And political power for even more money. She lusts for filthy lucre.

Exactly what “bloody issues” is Bernie referring to? Does he need to discuss this with Megyn?

Hellry is a first-class enabler and ran the threatening Bimbo Eruption Hit Squad.

In addition, I would not be surprised if Hellry, the bull dyke, also engaged in her own sexual attacks & rapes on women.

"But I am running against Hillary Clinton. I am not running against Bill Clinton"

Another reason this idiot is unqualified to be president. If he actually thinks that he's not running against Team Clinton, with Bubba right in the thick of things, then he's the most naive person on the planet.

Follow up question Bernie... Do you recognize that when we elect a President it is now a TWO-FER... that is you get the President and their SPOUSE and that SPOUSE has a FULL TIME STAFF? So do you condone putting a sexual predator back in the White House?

I wonder if this isn’t the beginning of the end of the Bill Clinton mythology. There is a generation of media punditettes who call Bill Clinton the greatest man to walk the earth since Jesus, and sometimes they even wonder about Him. Now Clinton is showing up looking like a shriveled up old coot, and sounds just as bad. It’s only the shriveled up old cootettes (Andrea Mitchell comes to mind) that perpetuate the myth. Maybe it’s time for them to pitch the knee pads.

Bernice’s coming in a little late on that. Polls must be showing something they’ve never seen before

The smell of blood in the water has been known to stir even the most placid of sharks into action, even a frenzy.

The Bern is such a good candidate for this kind of highly energetic activity.

Welcome to the party, Sandy!

Now hit up those emails and you can really drop a house on Hill.

The fact that Sanders characterized Bill Clinton’s escapades in such a way tells me that he knows that he can pick up some votes. This story will spread across the net. I saw a poll yesterday that has Trump 3 points ahead of Hillary whereas last week he was several points behind. At least some of that swing is related to his willingness to go head to head with the Clinton machine, and so far he is winning that battle. None of the other candidates would have even dared open their mouth about Bill Clinton.

"Bubba, your behavior is totally unacceptable. No desert for you, young man. Now I want you to go to your room and think long and hard about what you did. And don't you dare come out until I say so,"

You tell 'em, Bern. That'll show 'em who's boss.

As a general rule, assassination is not an act to be condoned. That being said, one might argue that in terms of history, JFK and MLK "live on" because they did not live on. If JFK had lived a normal life span he could well have ended up looking to history as William Jefferson Clinton does now, and if MLK had lived a normal life span he could well have ended up looking to history as Jesse Jackson or Bill Cosby do now.

Sander’s statement fails the logic test. Of course Clinton’s sexual history is relevant to the character and judgement of Herself. She married the guy for goodness sake. To marry and then stay married to a total lowlife is a serious flaw in one’s character. Would it not be relevant if a candidate was married to porn star or high end hooker. Of course it would be. The very fact would cast doubt on the candidates judgement. If a candidate’s husband is a serial adulterer at best, or a rapist at worse, of course it is an indication of character.
