Mr. Trumpâs strength is strange. It is reminiscent not so much of the classic American strongman as it is of the conjectural German Superman. Could it be that Donald Trump is an incarnation of Nietzschean social philosophy? A man who has surpassed the common man? A fantasy icon of power, fame, riches, confidence, mass influence, and moral indifference? Is âThe Donaldâ the Ãbermensch?
Mr. Trumpâs force-of-will, come-what-may, shoot-from-the-hip, couldnât-care-less attitude is in keeping with the self-willed assertion of Nietzsche when it comes to the rejection of accepted moral and political norms. Breaking with custom was central to Nietzscheâs philosophy of securing power by claiming them with an insistence that overawed all other takers.
Mr. Trump seems firm in a time of fear, perhaps promising a rough corrective to American pathologies by being defiantly absolute (right or wrong) in a relativist society. Mr. Trump seems real in an age of unrealityâbut has reality ever been Trumpâs MO? Manhattan real estate, Atlantic City casinos, Miss USA pageants, reality TV shows. Exploitation, exhibitionism, self-aggrandizement, and self-gratification have been Trumpâs bread and butter for decades.
Donald Trump is not a Superman. He is a salesman. He is an elitist critic of the elite, voicing the mass frustration at the fools who run the country. The problem with Mr. Trump is that he is a foolish voice for that frustration because he is insincere in his conservatism and inept in his policy. He wields his ego like a weapon to gain attention and attention is his.

Neither, con artist.
You’re fired!
After much deliberation I think it is wise to go for Cruz rather than Trump.
Carnival barker.
Trump is an unstable liberal egomaniac pretending to be a conservative and laughing at how easy it is to fool so many republicans with virtually no substance and absolutely no record. If elected he is the final end to a viable conservative influence in DC and the death nail for the tea-party. As president the Overton window will move sharply to the left and conservatives will become an endangered species.
Trump is a lifelong liberal with a record to prove it yet his gullible supporters are so easily fooled.
Trump is a Messiah, to himself and his deluded supporters, who will deliver us to something that is YUUUUGE. His “malleable” rule, along with the supporting rule of the ‘RATS and RINOs (with whom he would rapidly negotiate “deals”) would actually lead us into something like an enlarged Venezuela with a population gradually slipping into poverty and despair.
TRUMP IS, in essence, JESSE VENTURA WRIT LARGE. And God help us!
Trump- a clinton donor and abortion supporter...conning millions on the Right. Hitlery who knows him well is laughing her self silly at this
Trump is the Republican base. That is why he is the front runner. Maybe some can’t handle the Republican base.
We want someone with guts. He’s the one. The Republicans wouldn’t even have had a chance without the enthusiasm Trump has brought. Sorry, Cruz cannot do that, he will still be second to Trump in that regard. Maybe VP is a fit for him, but then, maybe not. The problem is, it isn’t Cruz at all that is as much of the problem, it is some of his supporters. I mean, some of the stuff I am seeing now, makes me think of the Moonies. Seriously. They would definetly NOT be the life of the party at the Trump Inauguration. Of course, Ted is invited - he is pretty good at jokes actually. But some of his supporters... no.
What a BS article. Once again the Cruzers paint Trump as a Nazi, just like Hillary and Sanders.
The two men have a lot in common.
This article explains the Trump phenomenon in detail. It explains why people are attracted to him and why they do not care what he was or is or says or does. If one reads the entire article, one will understand.
Hillary Clinton: Threat or Menace?
Like so many people today, they have no sense of humor, unless they are pointing out imperfections in others and laughing at them! Not a likable quality.
His thinly described sense of pride is really arrogance covering up the same inferiority as Barack Hussein Obama!
Like Obama, he really likes and respects no one but himself, feeling himself superior to all others.
I fear America will suffer greatly with another egomaniac at the wheel, this time demanding everyone follow him in a different as he, himself knowing what's best for everyone, like Obama, tells us all what to do!
Ping!
WARNING - if ya got The Tee Dee Ess, DON'T click on the pic. Yer head might explode. That is all.
Not any more, but we’ve been down that road countless times, regardless of the panicked flogging it, regardless.
That’s a very interesting article and website. I do appreciate Trump’s crass capitalism, his chutzpah, his war on political correctness, his refusal to be ashamed of America and being an American. I like his refusal to be ashamed of being rich and successful when all the rage is shame shame shame on America. That’s what attracts me.
I have concerns about his lack of articulateness. He doesn’t seem to be a thinker or to have pondered deeper things, or to have well thought-through ideas about exactly HOW he will “fix” everything. He’s a hammer and everything is a nail.
I am reserving judgement but am enjoying his barnstorming and upsetting applecarts everywhere, left and right.
