All the way to South Carolina?! Shooooottt.
The size of this one and the forecast conditions remind me of the Blizzard of 93.
I know a lot of people are poo-pooing the magnitude of this storm cause of all the media hype in the past, but this storm is really nothing to mess with.
The potential ice accumulations alone are bad enough, but additionally, nor’easter snow is notoriously wet and heavy and I hate it and cannot imagine having to deal with 18-24 inches of it drifted and packed like those winds are going to do.
DC was crippled by 1 inch of snow Wednesday evening. This was after all local jurisdictions claimed that they were prepared for the worst.
Sometimes it snows in the winter, sometimes not as much.
Plenty of warning here, take Friday off and clean up Saturday - no problem.
Has anyone looked at the radar map from Weather.com.
It’s weird. It is as if there is a mountain range blocking the snow from Washingdon DC and ocean city:

I’m not saying there is some technology doing this, but that is the weirdest snowfall pattern I’ve ever seen.
I have tuned out the mass hysteria that has arisen with this storm. Last year when they predicted the worst storm of the century, NY got five inches. Good grief. When did people turn into such pussies?
I am prepared for the worst. I am sure the weather forecast is wrong and this storm will be lame. And since when did these idiots start naming snow storms?
This is an EXCELLENT opportunity for the prepper community to reach out and evangelize having enough food and water to cover 7 days or so.
How come the storm is not named Donald?
Stay safe, everyone affected!
