Trump will sweep the field.

The GOP establishment cannot face the fact that he will become the nominee and it will all be over before March.

Sucks to be them.

Trump will run the table faster than these writers can write about it.

This writer is already behind the curve.

We will have a better idea in a week. And a much better idea by March 2.

The Establishment politicians, major donors, and consultants may just find their relevancy declining after Super Tuesday.

The nomination process is the party's way of settling on a nominee reasonably acceptable to all major factions (or, at a minimum, the least unacceptable of the candidates).

If this is indeed the goal, it's failed miserably at least the last two times, and quite possibly the last seven. As more and more GOP voters have refused to vote for the GOP nominee, this method has failed even when the Democrat candidate is the wildly unpopular Barry. Perhaps, in a nutshell, the nomination process selected by the GOP is the problem.

if not the voters, then at least the politicians, donors, and consultants who dominate American politics

So perhaps we will need the Ceausescu solution after all.

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz —leave a significant swath of the Republican party (if not the voters, then at least the politicians, donors, and consultants who dominate American politics) feeling quite cold.

I can’t believe the writer wrote this sentence. He’s as much as admitting that the donor class has been left out. Well boo frikin hoo.

I find it stunning that California is given so many delegate votes given the fact the there is ZERO chance that CA will vote Republican in the general election.

It appears that the Republican Establishment has designed this process to give us another weak candidate that provides no real difference from the Democrat opponent.

States that traditionally vote Democrat should be given less delegates, not more, to minimize their impact on candidate choice, since their states will have no positive impact in the general election. And in my opinion, MA, CA, IL, CT, MN, and NY should each be given one delegate (just to be fair).
