House Speaker Paul Ryan called on Republicans Wednesday to stop fighting angrily among themselves and not to be distracted by guns or other "hot-button" issues that President Barack Obama raises this election year.

"We can't fall into the progressives' trap of acting like angry reactionaries," Ryan, R-Wis., said at a Heritage Action for America policy meeting. "The left would love nothing more than for a fragmented conservative movement to stand in a circular firing squad, so the progressives can win by default." ...

Maybe we could get a little more united if he'd just stop rolling over and showing his belly to ObaMao.

I think it is cute when our pet kitty does that, but not when the GOP leadership do.

Most of the anger and personal attacks are coming from a single source.

We can’t fall into the progressives’ trap of acting like angry reactionaries

**************************************

Yes, we should jump with both feet into the trap of the R jersey progressives as they give the country away. Right, Lyin’ Ryan?

Exactly Ryan, now you and your GOPer whores get behind your constituents or die on the vine.

Sounded like to me that he was telling the Tea Party in particular to not call them pout so much on this amendment or that and to just accept that he and others in the GOP have their best overall interests in mind.

Hmmm...sorry, Paul, but we’ve been on that pony ride before. You are starting to sound 100% pure D GOPe.

Prove it...don’t just say it. And do so by fighting hard against the progressive left and this President...not bending over for them. And by either not allowing, or voting down amendments that would do exactly that so you can make political deals, you tell us by your actions that you are not willing to fight.

The budget deal was an example of exactly what we got rid of Boehner over.

The GOP-e is COUNTING on Trump’s diffusing American’s anger, but it’s not working, and the smashed turnout recordS in Iowa attest to that.

Stay ANGRY.

In other words, resistance if futile. Just relax and try to enjoy the assault. Right? I say WRONG.

This has the feel of colonial America, right before the revolution. The King and his court are trying to tamp down resistance but to no avail.

Sounds like Ryan wants a reaffirmation of the ole go-along-to-get-along.

Ryan wants smooth sailing for his House speakership.

Why blame Ryan?

The GOPe’s and fake conservatives voted Ryan as speaker.

They are to blame for Ryan.

I don’t owe the Republican Party anything and if I want to get angry and exact some revenge by not voting for the latest establishment loser they want to give the nomination to then that is my prerogative. Ryan can go fly a kite.
