My view is Birthright Citizenship is conferred to children born of US citizens. No matter where they are born. As long as the parents have not renounced their citizenship or registered the child as a citizen of whatever country they happen to be residing. Later, if they moved back to the US, the child (if a citizen of the foreign country) would have to be “Naturalized” ie. not Natural born.

The current law is that if you are born on US soil, you are a citizen by birth of this country regardless of who your parents are.

If you are born abroad to a US citizen (s), according to the law, you are a citizen at birth if you meet certain conditions, In the case of Cruz, he was born to an Ameican citizen father and a Canadian/Cuban father in Canada. He became at birth a Canadian citizen and his morther had to fulfill certain conditions to transmit derivative citizenship to him.

Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock

A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) of the INA provided the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen, is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen, is required for physical presence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.) The U.S. citizen parent must be the genetic or the gestational parent and the legal parent of the child under local law at the time and place of the child’s birth to transmit U.S. citizenship.

If those conditions are met, then there is no need for natualization, according to the law.

Is the “author” unable to make their point using the written word? All they can do is post videos?

I understand that is the law. I believe it should be changed.

This is likely a similar one to yours.

Here is Cruz pushing birthright citizenship, defending anchor babies like Rubio to be able to be president. This man is dangerous! Aug. 13, 2011. Under a minute and the same smarmy Cruz lawyereze BS. And no, he did not mention he was born in Canada. It took him 3 more years to figure that one out.

This man is dangerous!

He is also un-electable for a host of reasons.

Now you are being silly. Cruz is a citizen.

That's so far unproven. Even so, that's not enough for eligibility. That I'm a citizen is not debatable, I can prove it.

probably

Probably (probability) is a lot different from what "is" is.

I will now read the link.

“State the law, or you comment is BS”

Read the constitution. It’s in there.
