Republican presidential candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said he would seek out and deport all the illegal immigrants in the US and that both fellow candidates Donald Trump and Florida Senator Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)“would allow those 12 million people to become US citizens†on Monday’s “The O’Reilly Factor†on the Fox News Channel.
Cruz began by stating [relevant remarks begin around 2:30] that the law should be enforced, and illegal immigrants in the US should be deported.
When asked if he would “go look for them†Cruz responded, “Bill, of course you would. That’s what ICE exists for. We have law enforcement that looks for people, who are violating the laws that apprehends them, and deports them.â€
When asked if he would send federal law enforcement to the home of someone who overstayed their visa to deport them, Cruz said, “You better believe it.†He later added that he would put a biometric exit/entry system for visas.
After host Bill O’Reilly contended the courts would probably block this plan because of due process, Cruz objected. He further stated, “[T]he biggest difference is that Donald Trump and Marco Rubio and myself, is that both Donald Trump and Marco Rubio would allow those 12 million people to become U.S. citizens. Donald said once he deports them, he’d let them back in as citizens. I will not.†Cruz continued that under existing federal law, illegal immigrants who are deported are not eligible to come back into the US legally, and that Trump’s and Rubio’s positions “aren’t consistent with rule of law.â€

I heard Trump say in an interview, or a debate, maybe both, he would build a wall, deport 12 million people, and allow the good ones, the crime free ones to come back.

I don’t think Cruz said that Trump said he’d let them back in to be citizens. He said that Trump would let them back in. I don’t remember Cruz saying the “to be citizens” part.
Actually he said as citizens. I was watching the damn interview.

That’s the big takeaway here. They can call us Trumpkins or whatever name is their favorite today, but our guy stepped up to LEAD and Americans were looking for leadership that mattered. Being the guy who does a filibuster for a few hours is nice, but its not leadership.
So, now, Cruz of the Great White North is FOLLOWING Trump. Lead on Donald! Get in line Ted, eh.

Cruz is an amnesty guy as recently as December as always. He’s been better at hiding it than most. He is bought and paid for, and what he says here is BS.
Honestly, I don’t know if Ted is for or against amnesty. I do know that he is a liar, so whatever he says about anything is suspect.

What good has any politician done for America in the last 100 years ? Not a damn thing but the opposite .
What politicians and the media(led by the media) have done is grow government , let in 3rd world socialist immigrants, let illegals in , give unfair trade advantages to China and Asian countries etc. Those are all extremely destructive actions that have destroyed America.. That’s what politicians led by the media and rich foreign interest donors have done to America in the last 100 years.
Trump will do some good:
1.Trump will build the wall, the first really pro-American substantial action in a long time.
2. Correct the unfair trade deals with China.
