President Barack Obama is considering appointing a moderate Republican to the Supreme Court, a source close to the process said on Wednesday, but leaders in the Republican-led Senate held firm to their threat to block anyone he nominates.

The source said Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, a Republican and former federal judge, was among the possible candidates.

Apologies if this was posted under another title.

Right off hand this guy looks about as decent a nominee as you could ever expect from The Obamanation of Desolation

What he’s doing is trying to taunt them into taking any kind of action on this guy, withdrawing him, and then putting up a liberal black or woman so he can accuse Republicans of racism and/or sexism.

"Obama weighs Republican for Supreme Court"

Shouldn't he be spending the remainder of his lame duck term measuring Hillary for Prison Garb?

Best of both worlds for Obama, he gets his nomination, replaces a conservative with a progressive and someone his party can blame when 5 to 4 decisions don’t go their way.

"Republican" doesn't mean squat. John McCain is a Republican. Lindsey Graham is a Republican. The Bushes are Republicans. And I wouldn't want ANY of them sitting on the Supreme Court.

This is just another attempt to play three-card Monte with the Resistance. Any obama nominee will turn hard left once confirmed.

Yeah, another Trojan Horse Republican like John Roberts. No doubt it’d be a win-win for the Uni-party and the stupid sheeple that lap it up. Damn them all to hell.

Donald Trump just can’t get here fast enough...

Every left-wing media site in the world with the incessant drum beat about who Obama may be considering for the supreme court is spewing pure propaganda since the senate is not going to act on an obama nominee no matter who it is.

This is a decision for the American people to make and it’s good to see that republicans will stand firm and respect this crucial exercise in pure democracy.

I was just watching Greta. Apparently he is pro-choice and pro gay marriage, but anti-Obamacare.

Harry Reid loves him.

I’ll wait for 2016.

At this point, “Republican” is a useless descriptor.

Sandoval must have some skeletons in his closet that 0dunga will use to blackmail him with, just like John Roberts.

0dunga wasted no time in getting the NSA to dig up dirt on Sandoval.

If he is pro-choice and pro gay marriage but is against obamacare that means he is in favor of single payer instead.
