It’s an issue for a candidate whose candidacy is largely based on being a true Christian. If he will play loose with God, how will he treat us?
On top of that, doesn’t it make him a little dumb to have not been tithing surely knowing where his ambitions lied and that he would eventually be called on it?
No. He should have. He hasn’t. He admits it. All in the private aspect of his life.
