I say we must burn down the republican party to save it for “We the People” as Sarah said, “Trump is the first wave of the attack”

I agree with you. I used to worry what would happen to the ‘party’ but now I believe the ‘party’ is trying to put itself before the Country. The party now must be destroyed and then maybe we can get people in the leadership ranks who respect the voters again. The GOP cannot continue as it is.

“Ryan says he’s not interested”

Didn’t Ryan say that about being Speaker at one point?

Why?

Why do you believe Hillary will win?
Who, other than Trump or Cruz, in the repubbie party elite would actually fight Hillary?

If Trump wasn’t running Cruz would be long gone.

Cruz couldn’t survive 10% of the attacks Trump takes on a daily basis.

Cruz owes his present political life to Trump.

Moral impotence in Washington has given rise to the trump phenomenon.

He promises to defend our borders, protect Israel, and not molest our gun rights. Add his proven business experience and the four main supposed planks of what used to be the republican party are truthfully covered.

The Bush/Rove/Romney clan should shut their mouths and submit to their masters, we the people, and be grateful the revolt they are LOSING to is PEACEFUL....they don't deserve it.

One of the main reasons Romney lost is he refused to campaign to the "lower 47%". He said they (we) are a waste of his time.

And the interesting thing is Trump easily appeals to the "lower 47%." Those are the people he is bringing into the party, blue coller disenchanted independants and some democrats.

He won’t be for trade agreements which dissolve the sovereignty of the US or to give Iran nuclear weapons by way of a “deal” that stands the Constitution on its head by requiring 2/3 of the Senate to reject it instead of the Conatitutional 2/3 required to approve. Seems to me that a Harvard lawyer who says he’s a Constitutionalist should have been smart enough to not go along with that.

Cruz has shown by thise two votes he’s much more likely to maintain the status quo than Trump.

Trump is a roll of the dice, admittedly.

The rest seem content to let the Cheap Labor Express continue to steal our country from us by flooding the country with fraudulently documented foreigners.
If Ted Cruz had sounded like he does today about illegal aliens when he announced, there would not have been the vacuum that Trump walked into.
The citizens have been waiting for someone to help them retain the rule of law and their country.

Trump stepped up and said he would.

That’s why he’s winning.

Remember the Senate banking scandal and the House Post Office scandal, when they both got busted? Doesn’t it make you wonder what they are so afraid Trump will uncover?

None of several replies addressed my fear of how Donald behaves if he wins.

He wrote a book which included a preview of the things he's going to do when he's President.

In 'The Art of the Deal' he stated the one very important thing to do after the deal is closed, is 'Deliver the Goods', keep the promises made during the campaign.

In this case it ranges from re-opening the cases against Hillary to the one which is my important one, build A Wall.

The promises you want to see kept may vary.

“My fear is Donald popped in to protect the status quo from Cruz”

Yeah, he gave up a two-hundred million dollar show, and is taking this assault by all sides to help Hillary. Idiocy...

Most of the RNC/GOP is owned lock, stock and barrel by The Cheap Labor Express.
They have been actively working against the wishes of the people for decades.
Enabling the illegal alien inundation while giving lip service to national security.
GWB reduced border and interior enforcement AFTER 9/11.
Kay Bailey Hutchinson defunded the Secure Fence Act with an amendment in a subsequent bill.
They will burn the party to the ground rather than let us elect a President who would enforce the laws.

They are arrogant, they are far from stupid or clueless.
They have been playing conservatives for years and years.
We have only had amnesty candidates since the last amnesty.
It was not accidental. It was quite intentional.

They still think they can prevent us from electing a President who will enforce the laws and borders. They want to deny us the ability to stop the illegal alien inundation.

The most important thing to the RNC/GOP is keeping the people pipeline operating.

The Cheap Labor Express has already paid them for an amnesty candidate.

I believe they are willing to do anything to block us from keeping the rule of law and our country.

I got a call from the RNC last night thanking me for my past support, I haven’t given $ to them in 8 years but a good opening line shouldn’t be wasted. As he was starting his pitch a wild spirit entered me and I started repeating in ringing tones... TRUMP..TRUMP..TRUMP..TRUMP..TRUMP..TRUMP..TRUMP..TRUMP..TRUMP..

I had to hang up to get myself to stop. I wonder how many responses like that the RNC are getting.

The Bush/Rove/Romney clan should shut their mouths and submit to their masters, we the people
*******************************************

That may be how it is supposed to be but it is not how it really is.
Their masters are The Cheap Labor Express.
We the people have wanted the borders secured and the laws against fraudulently documented foreigners enforced since the last amnesty when we were promised there would never need to be another one. They passed enforcement measures that they promised would make another unnecessary.
All they have done since the last amnesty is try to pass another one. We are still waiting for the enforcement we were promised.

Both parties decided long ago that we the people would not be allowed to keep the rule of law or our country.

Trump may be our last hail mary to retain both.

Trump has brought thousands of new people into the party.....to vote for him. They are democrats, republicans, Independents, and people who have never voted before.

We had a preview of this happening in a VA primary.....when the untouchable incumbent, Eric Cantor (John Boehner/s right-hand man) was soundly defeated by an unknown.

More than 18,000 new voters came out to vote for the conservative Brat....who now has one of the highest conservative ratings in Congress.

I’m no fan of the New York Times, but once in a while they do some good reporting, and this was one of those times.

This article gave us a larger platform to vent our disgust, disdain, and total disregard for Mitt Romney and the GOP establishment. As I was reading it, I was thinking about how the inside the beltway pundits, party officials, as well as Romney himself, would probably be reading it too. And that gave me great satisfaction.

I agree.

To be fair, Romney was not his own man. He was being bankrolled by the people who held that view about the 47%. He had no choice to pander to those who bankrolled him ... if he wanted to be President.

That’s not to excuse the system that is in place. But that system had got to go.
