However, in 1988 the country's constitution was amended with Islam declared as the state religion.
After us losing thousands of soldiers in Iraq and Afghanisan Both countries recently adopted new Constitutions which make them both Islamic States with Islam as the official religion and no laws allowed that conflict with Islam.
