Er.

Well I have a problem with it.

And I also have a problem with anyone who doesn’t have a problem with it.

Seems like you have a problem with reading comprehension though. He said “in the event neither he nor Donald Trump secures enough delegates before then to lock up the Republican presidential nomination.” If neither of them have enough delegates, it’s the only course of action.

Cruz cites 1976. Ford did not have a majority of delegates committed when the convention started. Ford and Reagan had to compete for the other, available delegates. What was the alternative?

Cruz had a problem with it too till last night when he saw the results.

How the establishment must be proud.

In your opinion, what should be done if Trump doesn’t reach 1237 delegates?

Should the Republican party change the rules of the convention to prevent Cruz, Rubio, Kasich and Carson delegates from voting for anyone but Trump?

Seriously, have you though your position through at all?

Well I guess then you have a problem with me.

If Trump does not go into the convention with greater than 50% of the delegates, he has not yet earned the nomination, pure and simple. In that scenario, the fact will be that most people did not want him.

I believe nine out of 10 Rubio supporters would go to Cruz before Trump. Not sure about Kasich delegates but that is what the second and subsequent ballots are for. Let Trump make his case that he is the best man for the Republican Party to the uncommitted delegates and let Cruz make his.

If Trump wins, I will support him. If Cruz wins I hope you will support him. If the the GOPe tries to pull a fast one and pick someone other than Trump or Cruz, I will support Trump’s (and I hope Cruz) third party bid. It would be the perfect way to get a third party started to bypass the Uniparty we have now.

Well, given our anonymous poster on internet forum status, I doubt anyone is really fretting over your comment.

But I am confused.

If Trump does not have 1237 delegates at the time of the convention, how would you see the convention playing out?
