Why Washington’s Political Class Is Losing Control
The Daily Signal ^ | March 14, 2016 | Sen. David Perdue

Posted on 03/14/2016 12:20:13 PM PDT by upbeat5

The Washington political establishment has hit the panic button. Not because they are afraid of any one individual or candidate, but because they are afraid of losing their own political power.

The Washington political establishment has hit the panic button.

This town is filled with well-intentioned people who believe they are doing the right thing, but far too many have lost their way after years in Washington. Politicians pay more attention to special interests groups and powerful lobbyists writing checks to their next campaign, than listening to the people back home who sent them here in the first place.

This dangerous power vacuum has fueled frustration and created an entirely new breed of disenfranchised voters who are fed up with the status quo. These are real people, their anger is palpable, and it’s not going away anytime soon.

"This town is filled with well-intentioned people who believe they are doing the right thing,..."

Not many. Most are out for themselves. This guys a Senator from Georgia. He gets some of it, but I don't think he realizes how mad people are. I've called TN Sen. Alexander and Corkers office over the last 7 years many times and their people are clueless!

Because they decided to change the essential nature of the country without asking our permission. That’s it in a nutshell.

Most of the RNC/GOP is owned lock, stock and barrel by The Cheap Labor Express.
They have been actively working against the wishes of the people for decades.
Enabling the illegal alien inundation while giving lip service to national security.
GWB reduced border and interior enforcement AFTER 9/11. Totally unforgivable.
Kay Bailey Hutchinson defunded the Secure Fence Act with an amendment in a subsequent bill.
They will burn the party to the ground rather than let us elect a President who would enforce the laws.

They are arrogant, they are far from stupid or clueless.
They have been playing conservatives for years and years.
We have only had amnesty candidates since the last amnesty.
It was not accidental. It was quite intentional.

They still think they can prevent us from electing a President who will enforce the laws and borders. They want to deny us the ability to stop the illegal alien inundation.

The most important thing to the RNC/GOP is keeping the people pipeline operating.

The Cheap Labor Express has already paid them for an amnesty candidate.

I believe they are willing to do anything to block us from keeping the rule of law and our country.

BULL! That town is full of self serving, double dealing, corrupt globalists who are MUCH more dedicated to advancing the goals of their global establishment puppet masters than they ever were to America. They are the property of the big banks and global corporations. They don't care about America or Americans and they can all go straight to hell.

It's dawning on the incompetent lowlifes who sold out our country to every lobbyist, foreign country, and crook THAT WE ARE NOT IMPRESSED WITH “TONE”...

We are attacked by the IRS. When are stalled by the NSA on our phones and computers. We are forced to pay a increasing amount of taxes to support the Washington elite's and the parasites class. Our jobs are given to foreigners first. We are called all kinds of nasty things like racists wacko birds and such.

No wonder there is unrest when they entitled show up to attack Trump supporters. Enough is enough. Get a clue you bunch of worthless Washington insiders before this country really gets upset and many many people are hurt.

In 1992 a man said “If you go to Washington to see your congressman you’d better be wearing steel towed shoes. The halls of congress are filled with lobbyists and they’re walking all over each other trying to get into the congressional offices.” (Not an exact quote)

It’s sad that it’s taken this long for a large part of the American people to see that he was telling the truth 24 years ago. It doesn’t matter who the man was. What matters is that he tried to warn us. He tried to warn us about NAFTA, too.

His article has it mostly right

A growing number of Americans are more motivated by this feeling of frustration than any individual political ideology.

This article is a very good summary of the issue driving this election cycle.

Personally, I have busted my hump lobbying for my candidates. The payback has been everything contrary to what they promised. Within weeks of being in office they are already working on their reelection.

Boner was the first to fall because of this and I hope many others do too. The best hope for our country is to see the end of the career politician class and see a true representative government again.

I worked as an analyst in the Washington state senate for one session.

Our committee leader and I were walking into the capital building. One of the Representatives was just ahead of us and held the door for us. A simple courtesy, I thought.

My boss commented “It must be his first term. Next year he will stand and wait all day if he has to for a lobbyist to hold the door for him!”

Never truer words were said about the political system!

Yeah, losing control bla bla bla QUESTION: Why, along the way, in doing the bidding of the money men, couldn’t the GOP occasionally dance with the ones that brung ‘em? Why did they think they could get away with a TOTAL cold shoulder?

DC is filled with oath breakers who do so without compunction and at our expense and for their egos and enrichment. Hanging, while appropriate is too good for them.

“Well intentioned” my ass! With very few exceptions, they couldn’t give a rip about the Constitution, the country, their oath of office or their constituents, which is precisely why things have gone the way they have for years. They answer only to those who pay for their campaigns and their lavish “aren’t we friggin’ important” events. With even fewer exceptions, they are highly-flawed people with more skeletons in their office than Harvard Medical School, which makes them eminently controllable.

Yet they wonder why their approval rating remains in the 10 to 15 percent range and why 60 to 70 percent of Americans feel betrayed by them. You made your bed, you pissed in it, now sleep in it!

Too many people actually believe that politicians have values. They don't. Their business is as much an industry as GM, the unions, Big Ag or the unions. It's about making themselves bigger and richer and stronger.

Government IS a special interest and they have the power to write laws that hose the rest of us and take our assets in multiple forms.

Two wings off the same bird.
