Marco Rubio Says He Wont Run for Re-Election or Governor in 2018 Rebecca Ballhaus
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is done with politics at least for now.
The former presidential candidate and once-rising star in the Republican Party, who quit the race after losing his home states primary on Tuesday night, told reporters on Capitol Hill on Thursday that he is not looking to remain a member of Congress. Im not running for re-election to the Senate, he said. Im going to finish out my term here.
Florida bars candidates from running for two offices at once, and Mr. Rubio in starting his presidential campaign was effectively giving up his Senate seat. But the official registration deadline in Florida isnt until June 24, allowing Mr. Rubio an opening into the race.

Will work for VP slot.
Bye, Felicia.
Rubio already knows that Florida is on to him ... what with the info on Frank Lutz coming out.
I nominate him for V.P. of Mexico or Cuba and Jeb for President of either.
YESSSSSSSSSSSS!
I don’t feel sorry. Not one bit.
This guy had a bright future, but threw it all away trying to pass amnesty. And if he didn’t act like an ass towards Trump, he might still be in this race.
Adios, loser!!
Buh bye, Marco.
He needs to make some money, so he doesn’t speak for who is paying him. Then he can figure out who he wants to be when he grows up.
he’s going to be a 7 figure paid lobbyist for the GOPe support....
They are going for a pandering Cruz/Rubio ticket.
Just watch.
No surprise. Romney advice always ends careers
“You don’t have Rubio to kick around any more.”
He’s too busy hosting foam parties.
Maybe he can go to Cuba and raise sugar cane!
When does he start working for MSNBC?
That’s ok. He can take any one of the revolving door positions in major corporations or maybe even the holy grail of finance, Goldman Sachs.
In any event, Markie won’t be schlepping to the unemployment office like every other serf.
Good for him. He definitely won’t starve.
Lobbyist, $2 million - $4 million/year.
He’ll do that for a few years, make some good (i.e. hand-picked by a big donor) investments, keep making some speeches to keep himself in the public eye. He’ll be back, count on it.
Time to make some real dough.
Off to DC and the lobbying circuit.
What has and is happening to Rubot is and will be happening to the GOPe thugs and their DC pundiots and mediots trying to stop Trump!.
When President Trump is sworn in, they will be as irrelevant and their cute Cuban lover Rubot and useless in DC.
No one with any brains/integrity will want to be near them and Rubot.
