..you are a good man, Jeff. When I read your great letter, I thought of this line from Ben Hur:

Sheik Ilderim: Balthasar is a good man. But until all men are like him, we must keep our swords bright!

Judah Ben-Hur: And our intentions true!

“The key with Donald Trump is whether or not he will do them in the long run.

If nominated, we need to make sure he will continue to push them. If elected we need to make sure he will do them.”

How will we make sure he will do them? We elected the majority in Congress and they are doing, in many cases, the opposite of what we want them to do, or even what they should do.

How do we make that work?

Yes...keep our swords bright...keep our powder dry...and always remember Molon Labe.

To that point, here in Idaho our State Senate just passed Constitutional Carry, or what some call Permitless carry.

it will son pass in the House and then go to the Governor’s desk.

We already had Open Carry...but this now allows us to do conceal carry without a permit.

Of course. most of us already pointed to the fact that the second amendment is our permit.

It is a reflection of the times we live in that we even have to pass such a law.

But I am glad more and more states are doing so.

We have t elect people who will keep their word and who will put the pressure on.

And then we all need to be very actively involved in reminding them of it every time there is a vote.

I would prefer that he remain in the Senate rather than VP. He would be better positioned to keep Trump in check as a Senator than VP.

My fear is Ted is already moving to the dark side. When you consider after the Sea Island CONfad he hired Neil Bush as his campaign finance manager, Gramham and Beck have endorsed him

Actually, Cruz has long been in the Bushie establishment camp with a long history of votes in line with Establishment.

Each day brings a new revelation of Cruz being an inside Establishmentarian...and many Cruz supporters are beginning to see the light.

Non eligible, not Natural Born Citizens, Cubans, Chihuahua Prespiration Marko and Pinocchio Desperation Ted attacking Big Donald at CNN freestyle match.

Cruz "character":
1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote for Cruz.
2. Claiming Carson quit, presinc captains told voters "vote for Cruz"
3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video "vote for me" with his preacher/father stomping for him. Rafael Cruz is a 7 Mountain Dominionist and believes his son is the anointed one.
4. "Brilliant" lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.
5. Making phony video advertising with lies about opponents.
6. Phony video about Rubio - Obama.
7. 7 Mountain Dominionist Church = Christian???
Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize, rinse and repeat?
Liar is the polite term for this Cuban. His father was pro-communist in Cuba, imprisoned by Batista, but now he is refugee?

IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN
(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a "natural born citizen" is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.
http://www.thepostemail.com/2009/10/18/4-supreme-court-cases-define-natural-born-citizen/
Applies to Cruz and Rubio, both at the time not born to US citizens and on US soil.

Cruz cannot produce a CRBA to demonstrate he is eligible...and he knows he is not eligible.

Surrendering to a literal RINO will not unify the party. I’m done voting for the lesser of two Democrats. Donald Trump has given the GOP the terminal case of cancer that Buchannanites, Ron Paul and Libertarian types have been clamoring for 30 years. The GOP is finished and we will not see a conservative president in my lifetime.

..those with Texas roots understand for sure. I guess I am saying that IMHO the chasm is too wide for Christian or Religious Right conservatives to bridge in order to make a Faustian deal with a completely secular pragmatist who has no history of representing the issues that we know God is VERY concerned with.

But I respect the efforts of great patriots as yourself, who are calling all to come reason together...

Everything you THINK Trump is promising you is as real as Trumps hair. He will not deliver that, it’s a negotiating tactic and his supporters are the mark.

I think you’ll be very disappointed. Cruz wants power. At some point he will be mathematically unable to get to 1237 (at even now it’s quite unlikely). I suspect he won’t suspend his campaign at that point (as he is urging Kasich to do).

You do not see the irony in your typo? Maybe even the hand of God?

Your post is not worth reading once you get to the suggestion that Cruz make a deal with Trump for a VP spot.

First of all, Trump doesn’t need Ted Cruz to win outright the GOP nomination. Trump is the ONLY candidate with a path to win the nomination. He Will do so and all this brokered convention talk is just that, talk.

Second (actually first), Ted Cruz IS NOT ELIGIBLE to the office of president or vice president. Donald Trump has made a YUGE issue of this. How in the world could he embrace the “natural born Cuban” as his running mate?

Your faux pas with the word “birther” is hilarious.

Morning Jeff,

Would you be open to also send one to Mr. Trump with similar suggestions toward working with Cruz?

Thanks.

The key with Donald Trump is whether or not he will do them in the long run

I agree that this is an issue, and it's a big one for supporters of other candidates (I've been all in with Trump since July).

But consider this: Trump is not an ideologue. There's nothing about his life, his persona, or his accomplishments that say he's got a driving passion to institute socialism, or feminism, or any other ism. He DOES have a big ego, and most Presidential contenders have an ego problem.

BUT.

He's 69 years old, he has everything a man could desire, and being President while the country is in such terrible condition will be, as those of us with New York values say, a sh*t sandwich. It's NOT a vanity no-show job.

So, the "Trump is a secret Hillary fan" people have to have a theory about why he would take this on.

And I can't, for the life of me, see what that would be.
