Cruz does not have an inspiring personalit. Add his lawyer talk, smugness, Goldman Sachs wife and his preaching..it was a recipe for disaster. He convinced nobody except the hard right. He is no RR, not even close. He has no power of persuasion

I guess Reagan was a progressive in 1980.

Reagan was popular, but he was not a populist - he was a conservative.

Total B.S., of course. Populism is, by definition, popular with the people.

Hey as long as the people are for it what could be wrong? Nothing could be worse than the Czars anyways.

Yeah. Trump has a lot in common with “the common, working stiffs.” Right.

That is the definition of populist, being popular. And in 1980 Reagan didn’t run on a strict conservative platform.

No, but you’re close. Populists appeal to the hopes and fears of the populace. That might make them popular and it might not.

For the record, Rubio lost me when he decided to lower himself and crawl into the gutter with Trump.

Because amnesty and TPP was a-ok, but can't have people crawling into "Trump's gutter"! You're a clown.

Reagan fell short and we still suffer for it.

Well the bunker as I understand it is in Virginia, and Beck in TX. But point taken. I’m not especially a Trump supporter, just to clarify, but IMO Levin has gone total sneering schoolyard punk over his blind hatred for him. He’s adopted this style or arguing with himself as the dominant riff he does and it’s becoming seriously unentertaining as he repeats himself endlessly.

I’m frankly glad I didn’t subscribe to Levin TV. I would have to listen to him to feel like I got my money’s worth. There’s plenty of Levin for free on the radio and I’m less and less enamored with him over time.

Yeah. Trump has a lot in common with “the common, working stiffs.” Right.

The term populism has a meaning, and had a meaning long before Trump ever thought about running for president. Levin is simply pretending the word means precisely what he wants it to mean. But it doesn't.

No, we suffer for it because after Reagan, we kept electing globalist goons that didn’t give a rats sh!t about America.

He is a smug elitist. When sundance exposed his relationship with Cruz(fiance son), thhe first thing he did was make fun of him working at publix. That was all I needed to see to show the kind of man he is. He spends half his shows promoting himself.
