“...but the media refused to cover it.”

BRRRRMMMMP! BRRRMMMP! BRRRMMMP!

BS meter just went off the scale. NO WAY would the media have not covered such a story about Cruz. Period.

The media views cruze as the Anti-Trump. Of course they were covering for Teddy, or do you think Fox is “fair and balanced”.

Ted Cruz Mistress Crisis – Apparently There’s Video…

Posted on  by

This might not make sense unless you’ve read: 1) Original FULL Outline of Cruz Affair Story Here, and 2) Cruz obtuse Denial and deflective Accusation Here.

Now, the entire saga takes a somewhat conformational twist.

cruz cheated

Yesterday, as the entire Cuban Mistress Crisis was simmering to a boil, it was discovered that weeks ago a large number of Marco Rubio operatives and supporters were trying to bring the sex scandal story to the MSM attention.

Under the open guise of #TheThing they were communicating via various twitter feeds and following along to see if the story had been picked up.  Most of the activity was centered around March 10th – March 15th.

Yesterday the hashtag CruzSexScandal went viral.  Today, many of those DC operatives, participants, supporters, consultants, Super-PAC’s and campaign advisors have spent a great deal of time deleting their (The Thing) participation.  The peak of their scrubbing coincided with Senator Ted Cruz accusing Donald Trump of planting the story.

Obviously, the Rubio Clan didn’t want to see themselves outed as the originating entities.

Virtually everyone in the blog-o-sphere who supported Marco Rubio was active, tweeting, re-tweeting, or following the events related to #TheThing.  Now they’re running for cover and trying to hide their fingerprints.

However, interestingly one of the now deleted “tweets” was from Rick Wilson, who stated the owner of “The Thing” should just upload it to You Tube and the reporters could “discover it” there.

After reviewing a Daily Beast article today ,where they actually report on several conversations from inside the Rubio-circle (those who hold first-hand knowledge of the substance), it becomes obvious what Rick Wilson was saying to upload was actually the video described in the Daily Beast article (emphasis mine):

[…]  The truth behind the rumor-mongering, however, is a little more complex. A half-dozen GOP operatives and media figures tell The Daily Beast that Cruz’s opponents have been pushing charges of adultery for at least six months now—and that allies of former GOP presidential hopeful Marco Rubio were involved in spreading the smears.

For months and months, anti-Cruz operatives have pitched a variety of #CruzSexScandal stories to a host of prominent national publications, according to Republican operatives and media figures. The New York TimesThe Washington Post, Bloomberg News, Politico, and ABC News—reporters at all those outlets heard some version of the Cruz-is-cheating story. None of them decided to run with rumors. Those publications’ representatives all declined to provide on-the-record comments when The Daily Beast reached out for this article.

Breitbart News, the notoriously Trump-friendly conservative outlet, was also pitched the story of Cruz’s extramarital affairs, according to a source close to the publication. That source said an operative allied with Marco Rubio—but not associated with his official campaign—showed the publication a compilation video of Cruz and a woman other than his wife coming out of the Capitol Grille restaurant and a hotel on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But the outlet opted not to report on the video, which demonstrated no direct evidence of an affair.

“We got it from a Rubio ally,” said the source. “It was too thin. (link)

Unfortunately, from that paragraph forward the Daily Beast, despite accurately saying the Rubio team was the impetus, goes into a weird obfuscation about Trump being friendly with the National Enquirer.

The writer/reporter, Betsy Woodruff, seemingly leaves the biggest dangling participle in the entire story…..

….. Where’s this video?

Yes, it is entirely possible the video is innocuous.  However, why would Senator Ted Cruz and a woman “who is not his wife” be on video coming out of a hotel on Tuesdays and Thursdays?

Obviously the use of “compilation” and plural use of “Tuesdays and Thursdays” implies these hotel encounters are more than singular.  What possible reason could a married man have for meeting a woman at a DC hotel on regular Tuesdays and Thursdays?

And, who exactly has ownership of these videos?

As long as Cruz was useful in preventing Trump from getting the nomination, no MSM outlet would touch the story.

They would save it for if Cruz was likely to get the nomination, or for his reelection campaign.

Perhaps it was being held in abeyance for later use if Cruz was the nominee running against The Beast?

I must politely disagree. They often hold damaging info, only to release it at the most damaging time.

This whole episode is very strange.

Anything is possible. One must go from the possible to the likely. How likely is any of it?

Like the MSM “covered” the John Edwards pregnant mistress
scandal?

We barely dodged THAT bullet.

Well the didn’t until now, so what does that say? I imagine they want to destroy Trump. For some reason, Cruz does not seem to interest them. Not sure why.

According to Breitbart, they had the story pitched to them, but turned it down because there was no proof of anything, just rumor and innuendo. Even that most trusted voice of truth, NE, talks in maybe’s rather that facts. Whether it is true or not, doesn’t matter, it’s the seriousness of the charge that matters. (Tks to El Rushbo)

Come on, now, don't be so naive. They were just waiting for the general election.

Unless they were waiting to see if he was nominee. That would give the story the biggest bang.

Why not? The MSM refused to print the whole Clinton/Lewinski story and don’t say that that’s because Slick Willie is a Dem.
