What Trump has wrought
Worldnet Daily ^ | April 4th, 2016 | Patrick J. Buchanan

Posted on 04/04/2016 6:19:55 PM PDT by Mariner

As Wisconsinites head for the polls, our Beltway elites are almost giddy. For they foresee a Badger State bashing for Donald Trump, breaking his momentum toward the Republican nomination.

Should The Donald fall short of the delegates needed to win on the first ballot, 1,237, there is growing certitude that he will be stopped. First by Ted Cruz; then, perhaps, by someone acceptable to the establishment, which always likes to have two of its own in the race.

But this city of self-delusion should realize there is no going back for America. For, whatever his stumbles of the last two weeks, Trump has helped to unleash the mightiest force of the 21st century: nationalism.

Transnationalism and globalism are moribund.

First among the issues on which Trump has triumphed – “We will build the wall – and Mexico will pay for it!” – is border security.

Republican candidates who failed to parrot Trump on illegal immigration were among the first casualties.

For that is where America is, and that is where the West is.

“Trump has helped to unleash the mightiest force of the 21st century: nationalism.”

It’s about time.

And those who think the Trumpeteers can be pushed aside for another election, MAY get their way.

But they will have boarded the losing train.

We are not going away and we will have our way.

One way or another.

“Pat’s batting 1.000 so far this year, hit after hit.”

Trump is running a more savvy and more timely Buchanan campaign, and proving Buchanan’s amazing foresight.

Yes, Pat’s been rejuvenated.

Trump has done more for American just running for the republican nomination than some Presidents have done in 8 years.

Trump has helped to unleash the mightiest force of the 21st century: nationalism

That is correct.

The NY magazine article about Trump expressed surprise that Trump only listens to Jefferson Sessions for policy. It's the single most important reason to vote for Trump: Sessions on his own can not get the traction Trump can, but has by far the most fearless outlook in the Senate about immigration and the border.

Going with the theme of what Trump has wrought - we all witnessed the way he was the first to introduce major rudeness and incivility into the debates.

“Pat’s batting 1.000 so far this year, hit after hit.”

Pat says Cruzers and Trumpsters have to unite.

So much food for thought from PB, discarded by the GOP a couple of decades ago, but now emerging as the one with the clear vision all along.

I am voting for trump in NY because, from what I see here, 12 points will come right off the top of whatever other candidate is chosen in the generals.

Rather have some chance than none.

Plus when he’s grounded, he’s a very good candidate.

Admitting the picture mistake was huge. Americans are very forgiving whether one thinks he needed forgiveness or not.

What makes him think the Establishment is oppose to nationalism? All they care about is winning and they know Trump won’t.

I hope Trump will get to the needed 1237 on the first ballot and let his enemies, the GOPe, finally smell the coffee and get behind him.

Is it wrong to be upset with the media, establishment and others who have permitted Obama’s gang to destroy our sacred country? FOX News or none of the media does not have the answer to how to fix something they helped to break. The GOP stands to lose a big one, if they do not get their act together now.

Trump is our best bet a winning, and the establishment cares about power, not winning - that is how we got Romney
