Students demand UW raise sports ticket prices to fund diversity efforts
Campus Reform ^ | Apr 26, 2016 | Anthony Gockowski

University of Wisconsin Madison students demanded more funding for diversity initiatives at an open forum Monday night, even though the administration has already succumbed to many of their previous demands.

One student at the forum, according to the Wisconsin State Journal, suggested that the university raise ticket prices for athletic events in order to help fund opportunities for disadvantaged students.

What is wrong with Wisconsin? Why is political correctness so popular with these people?

It’s not just Wisconsin. This is what you get with liberal-controlled education. Public Schools are child abuse. We are truly screwed.

I do not see any diversity courses listed here that will make money for these students just basic ones that build a life, a town, a country.

Give the snowflakes an inch and they will take a mile.

It's beside the point to say this, but they are students, not administrators. They need to sit down and STFU and be grateful for the education they're getting, leftist and marxist though it may be.

“Students demand UW raise sports ticket prices to fund diversity efforts”

Aren’t the sports themselves the “diversity efforts”?

Simply put, its not popular with students. This is a few people at a rally. The overwhelming part of these 40,000+ students don’t care at all. They even disagree. But they would not like to stand up publicly to a bunch of thugs who include athletes and professors making a stink about diversity in an overwhelmingly white state.

There are lots of diversity programs for the few blacks and Indians in Wisconsin. They are just more common at the vast college systems other schools with lower academic rigger. These people want free school and a top diploma without the smarts or work involved on their part.

Stories like this is WHY we MUST have a tea party to organize boycotts of places like this- The Tea Party could very quickly shut this asinine nonsense down by threatening to boycott the games altogether if the school tries this stunt!

Actually, you could just do what Ohio State University did. Told the protesters to pound sand.

Funny how when they are told to grow up or get arrested and expelled they listen up and comply for the most part.

So I live in Wisconsin. The normal home around here is under $100,000. The family’s have all adults working. They fix their own cars, mow their own lawns, paint their own houses. Generally they are white. And their kids don’t go to college. When they do, its a two year trade school or a very inexpensive state school.

It doesn’t take college to farm, or become a tradesman, or machinist or do simple office work. That is what these people do. They are overwhelmingly Northern European. And its cold up here. These guys hunt, but crime is low. They fish, and their lawns are in great shape. In fact the towns are very clean. And they don’t think about diversity. If some ethnic people want a clean safe neighborhood with very low prices and beautiful land, come live in Wisconsin. But dress warm, work hard, live within the laws, and clean up after yourself.

Adding — this was ONE student’s suggestion at a rally organized by students to protest the arrest of a student vandal who had cost the University $4000 in damages with his graffiti. This is NOT the fault of Paul Ryan, nor the bulk of the UW students, nor the good people of WI who probably agree with the arrest.

I was impressed with some of the smaller towns I passed through a few years ago on my first trip to Oshkosh.

I don’t understand why any white person even applies to a college, knowing they are going for a spot that could be filled by a minority. If these white snowflakes value diversity so much shouldn’t they be the ones leasing by example and freeing up a spot?

Then why do the people put up with the University of Wisconsin and it’s uber liberal bent?
