No, having a minimum wage is what drives the illegals to come here. Businesses that want to stay in business by paying less than the minimum wage can only hire illegals to whom the minimum wage does not apply.
The minimum wage (along with all the other labor law regulations) is the primary reason there is a demand for illegal labor.
