My thoughts exactly.
The Bernie phenomenon is an indication that even the "takers", Romney's 47%, are not a happy bunch, as relates to the Obama years. The Bernie turnout has the same emotional character as that of Trump's voters, and is not so much an embrace of socialism as it is frustration with the Obama/Hillary brand of liberal governance. Traditional voting blocs which should be in the bag for Hillary are turning out for Bernie.
If Hillary gets the nomination, they stay home.
This puts every state in play for Trump, but only if Hillary/Obama is the opposition.. The white guilt that gave us two Obama terms isn't there for Hillary. There is no historical turnout model that can be relied upon for the general election to come. Kansas, Toto.
Your entire post is spot on, ri4dc!
Very kind of you, thank you.
I have a serious question, if you would have any thought about it.
IF Hillary did pick the Bern as her VP, would it, in your opinion, change the equation ? Im honestly not sure, but I worry it could up the Dem base energy and be tougher to beat.
