My husband and I lived and worked in Barstow for a year...what purgatory. I imagine it's MUCH better now as THEN all Barstow had was trucking, railroad and military. I was so BORED. We would travel to L.A. or Vegas for relief.
We were once in a traffic jam that STARTED in Thousand Oaks and ended in L.A. After that I never complained about traffic jams anywhere...
Before Cesar Chavez reared his ooogly head in California the migrant workers were just fine. They would come, work and go back home.
However, things really are getting worse south of the border. The southern border of Mexico is shut tight, tight, tight and the Mexican government gives out pamphlets to those illegals on just how and where to cross over the line the easiest ways.
The coyotes have been in business for YEARS.
What I am saying is that the problem starts SOUTH of the border and our government ENABLES them so that cheap labor will flood our market. There is NOTHING good happening anywhere where there are illegals in this country.
They get in and get jobs because they are CHEAP labor, so the blame lies with the consumer who demands cheap, cheaper and cheapest and our market answers their call demands.
The Swiss pay extra to buy their own products. They MIGHT go just across the French border and get ANYTHING cheaper but they realize that supporting their own is obligatory unless they want to be a French satellite. Sacre bleu!

My guess is that Jerry Brown has ordered that the WRITTEN tests go in the trash can, and, well, one can only guess about the driving test. He just wants more undocumented Democrats on the voter rolls. Nothing else matters. Welcome to Northern Mexico.

I think there is a great opportunity here to change voting laws with illegal immigration. Change the electoral voting system so that the most counties won in a state gets the electoral votes. If Cook County wants to have 125% of the vote, it only affects that county and not the entire state of Illinois.
It basically becomes your firewall to end voter fraud. Want illegals? Sure. But they receive benefits from the state, but is paid for by the county. See how quick people no longer want illegal immigration.

Um.... I lived in Geneva across the border from France and we used to shop in France and come back across the border in residential crossing spots where the guard goes home at 4. Maybe these days those don’t exist.

Several years ago I spent a long time waiting in a DMV office. A man who spoke not a word of English took the written driving test multiple times and failed it. Each time the Pajama Boy behind the counter carefully marked the right answers for him and gave him the identical test to take over. Finally, the man got enough of the marks in the right place to pass. He didn’t have a clue what the questions or answers were, but Pajama Boy got him through it and sighed with relief when he passed him. Big grins all around, except from me.
Voter fraud is dependent on ‘names on rolls’...
The ‘Superdelegate’ system shows democrats DO NOT care about the ‘value of the vote’ for the downtrodden... they keep real power under tight control and FOR their own benefit.
Sanders knows his party elites cheated against him. He’s just not sure how they did it. Here’s a flash for Sanders: it was ‘names on the rolls’ voted by elites.
