WSJ’s Stephens: Trump Must Be ‘Decisively Rebuked’ So Republican Voters ‘Learn Their Lesson’

Sunday on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” The Wall Street Journal’s deputy editorial page editor Bret Stephens argued against presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s candidacy and said he must be “decisively rebuked” to the point that it will teach Republican voters a “lesson.”

“I most certainly will not vote for Donald Trump,” Stephens said. “I will vote for the least left-wing opponent to Donald Trump and I want to make a vote to make sure that he has — that he is the biggest loser in presidential history since, I don’t know, Alf Landon or

I’ve tried to give them credit, tried to understand whence they come. I can’t figure them out. They must just be closet libtards.

WSJ and Goldman Sacks wasted so much on Cruz. These guys really are kind of cheap.

A rose by any other name...

University of Chicago what? Their School of Economics, famous for professors like Milton Friedman, is one of the few schools that promotes and teaches Adam Smith and true free-market economics, not Keynesian economics and socialism.

Of course the London school teaches socialism. A Leftist breeding ground.

Bret Stephens - Jewish, of course. Not like I’m suggesting that there is a pattern to the movement. Just a coincidence that it’s populated with Hebrews and Mormons.

You are thoroughly disgusting. Now go pick up your check from the Clintons.

They've been attacking Trump 24/7 since 6/16/2015, the day he announced.

And now suddenly they have to, "rebuke" Trump? This is total BS.

This reminds me of a scene from Die Hard and I will loosely paraphrase and change up the line a bit —

Trump is badass and he is here to stay.

I don't know WTF these opinion leaders are thinking.

Had the GOP simply DONE ITS JOB the past 6 years, there wouldn't BE a Trump in the race.

The voters sent clear mandates to Republicans:

Stop Obama.

They don't even TRY to meekly "object" to Obama.

Paul F'ing Ryan is just a rubber stamp for a lame duck POTUS.

The Wall Street Journal, from Bartley on, has always been filled with open borders fetishists.

There are a handful of decent folks on the editorial side, e.g. James Taranto, John Fund, but they're few and far between.

...and it still is, for people who no longer believe that the American worker has a place in the American Dream.

The problem of “Already Posted Today”, is that it rolls off the first page, and we never see it. Now, if it were one after the other on the same first page, I would understand. I appreciate those early risers all across the nation, but

9:15 AM is an early riser? And you can't be bothered to use the Search function in the upper right corner? That's one of the key things it's there for.

The establishment is strong in this one.

Too bad for him there’s an anti-establishment tsunami on the horizon.
