Not all nationalism is good. Everyone should be patriotic, love, and be loyal to his own country. But some people create separate national "gxds" and "religious truths" and "holy lands" apart from the objective real deals.
Everyone and everything must submit to the One True G-d. Including every nation.

There is an entire philosophical movement that rejects the idea of a single G-d and a single religious Truth in favor of different national "gxds" and "truths" for each nation. This kind of nationalism is just another form of idolatry.
Nationalism that submits to the One True G-d is fine, but unfortunately there are plenty of the others as well, and they know how to deceive and manipulate good people, just like Communists do.
