Don’t drink soda, regular or diet, on a regular basis. None of it is good for you and the diet stuff is probably worse.
Water - it’s all you need.

caffeine addiction might explain it?

And milk, I needs my milk! Not the skim,1% or 2% swill either. Whole milk and sometimes Half & Half - when I feel like spending $4 for a half gallon.

I stopped drinking soda pop about ten years ago and my high blood sugar dropped immediately to normal. Ever since, I have switched solely to diet green tea instead of any other drink. It has aspartame and caffeine, and I feel great!

Yep-pop is free at work and I still drink only water. If it were coke products I might indulge once in awhile, but Pepsi isn’t even tempting.

I drink 3 forms of water:
Coffee, iced tea, and water “neat”.
I quit diet soda a couple of years ago.

Dont drink soda, regular or diet, on a regular basis. None of it is good for you and the diet stuff is probably worse. Water - its all you need.I probably drink 2 sodas a year. Coffee in the first hour of the day and water for the rest - as a quencher/hydrator vs. a "cleanser".

That’s right. I gave up soda in 2009. Stopped adding sugar to anything in mid 2009. I even drink home made lemonade with out sugar. Once the taste buds adapted, I didn’t miss it.
What I did miss was the bubbles in soda. So I put a small amount of juice in a glass and fill it up with club soda or seltzer water, and drink that instead.
However, when I get sick (nausea) I will drink a small amount of cola to settle the tummy. Can’t stand it straight-too sweet. So I just add some club soda to it too.
