I wonder how all of these people would feel if a director did a casting call for a remake of Shaka Zulu and only called for white or Asian actors?

Hamilton was not a very good guy. Be had some terrible ideas that thankfully were minimized and the biggest ideas he had are causing problems to this day.
I agree, but my point was how to approach a historical figure, an actual human being, in casting the parts for the play.
I care not a whit if they change fictional characters, but when you mess with history, you are trying to change reality itself.

I saw part of the Tony awards.
That stupid host made a half assed joke about how the acting community celebrates diversity, and how Donald Trump wants to build a wall around the theater they were in.
Hardy har har. The audience laughed.
And during the award for best actress, the presenter of the award said how Hillary Clinton proved this week that women can achieve big dreams.
Another presenter make a crack about Trump University.
Why do they persist, in making jokes, in which you have to be liberal to think they are funny???? All of America is watching, and far from everyone watching is a doctrinaire liberal.
So the only politically oriented statements in the show are all liberal. I guess that’s par for the course.
Dramas about historical figures are never accurate. Shakespeare’s History plays certainly weren’t.
Stick to your guns. Tickets on the resale market are averaging several thousand dollars each.
Having the Government Grant, the racist play should be prosecutes with the Trump DOJ. A refund for any funds, penalties, and a Tony. Let the racist pay with their only funding.
