The federal government says filtered tap water is safe for everyone in Flint, Michigan, lifting a recommendation that pregnant women, nursing mothers and children under 6 drink only bottled water to avoid lead exposure.
The announcement Thursday is based on tests of filters that have been distributed for months for free by the state of Michigan and the federal government. The Environmental Protection Agency says the filters remove or reduce lead to well below the action level of 15 parts per billion.

We’ve taking our media and congress that way for decades. The taste should be familiar.

The intake and treatment plant for the new water supply is about 2 miles from my house. Due to go online shortly.

Serve it up to the fools who did the hippie Sit-In yesterday. Drink up, dems, you did that to the people of Flint.

Plenty of small, cheap water filters remove lead and other minerals. I don’t doubt that filtered water will be safe to drink. Whether the lead-contaminated water is safe for showers is another question.

Just a note to you folks in Flint; Bottled water is still available at Walmart. I trust them a lot more than I do the Federals.
