Keep in mind that The Donald has pulled some pretty surprising rabbits out of his hat already, and he may have someone altogether different, someone who didn’t even register on the meter, but people will say, “Oh, man, how did he come up with that person?” The choice, which like so many announcements by The Donald, at first seems to be way out in left field, will be driven lining straight out for the bleachers.
Make no mistake, both Christie and Newt are very good bets to be in The Donald’s picks for his Cabinet, or close members like White House Chief of Staff, even if they are not selected for VP.
But for sure, the Establishment Republicans will have just about no say at all in The Donald’s choice for VP.
I have to agree. He is the most telegenic. He would be good in debates. Would help carry Jersey and New York.
The VP doesn’t do much except hang and go to funerals.
He can attack and beat Clinton on law and order and on her breaking the law.
I wouldn’t pick him, but at this stage of our country, a change has to happen and Trump is it - hopefully.
We can fight Christie another day.
