(Vanity) Curious..Mark Levin yesterday back to TDS ranting?

Posted on 09/13/2016 7:12:28 AM PDT by pburgh01

Listening to Levin yesterday 9/12/2015. thought would give him another chance now that he seemed to be regaining sanity. Was I wrong. Spent 2 to 1 time spewing purist philosophical drivel and TDS hatred. Curious that when Hillary's neck is on the block and Trump ready to strike the Coup De Grace,.. Levin would rally his TDS Cruzbot troops for one more Battle of Bulge.

Thoughts?

Crazy behavior: doing the same thing that never worked out in the past and expecting a different result.

Levin has two problems:

1) He is still fighting the GOP primary.
2) He thinks we are still living in 1976-80.

His show used to be educational, informational, inspirational, and entertaining.

Not anymore.

Your posting history speaks well enough

There is a litany of it

Prone to emotional outburst and personal attacks and non ownership of said emotional outburst and poor judgement and then recoil as the victim by claiming the other side is worse

Can’t have it both ways unless you’re somebody’s wife

It’s amusing watching you parse and wiggle and lash out when in fact your own posts and nevertrump pronouncements put you precisely where you are now

I won’t forget the NEVERTRUMPER lot here

But good luck

You’re just lucky Jim doesn’t cache posts like he used to

So what's your game, little boy?

Are you butthurt because I listened to Trump and decided to vote for him in spite of your behavior?

Are you really that weird and stupid?

You’re just lucky Jim doesn’t cache posts like he used to

If Jim wants to "zot" me, he's free to do so. His call. Not yours.

‘Almost all of the mud thrown at Trump is true’

There is no point in providing Cruz supporters with evidence of his shameful lies about Trump. If they’d cared to listen, they could have heard it for themselves. But they didn’t wish to hear it, so contrary evidence is useless.

AKA "conservatism"

Why even try? There's no balance of opinion tolerated on FR anymore.

My remark was tongue-in-cheek. Everything they say, good and bad, is true... and he is still the best man running...

And despite some of my reservations about him, he is the best we’ve seen in a generation.

Newt has been the most intelligent defender of Trump. Odd comment for you to make.

You've been pwned

I wonder at your use of the term "purist." Trump is one of the half dozen most Conservative candidates, who have been serious candidates for President in my lifetime. He is as close to the pure deal, as we are likely to ever see.

I do not listen to the radio pundit, you are referring to. And I do not want to be unfair. But the point is not really debatable. The Constitution absolutely calls for putting America First--see Trump: The Issue.

And who else in this year's campaigns, has clearly done so? The fact that he won the enthusiastic endorsement of Phyllis Schlafly, who sadly passed away, last week; attests the soundness of his Conservative credentials. Mrs. Schlafly has, since the Goldwater campaign, been the closest thing to a conscience for American Conservatism, as anyone could hope for.

Your months long behavior here towards Trump and his supporters on this forum is easily gleaned by anyone who takes the time

You were a nasty personal poster then and remain so now as a self described born again Trump supporter

It would appear being ugly to fellow freepers is simply your way of expressing your personality as it is

And you pretend to have done a 180 on Trump and now love him in spite of all the rancor and vitriol you hurled at him and us month after month because I believe you desire to retain posting privileges here so you can simply be your true to your inner ugly nature all over again

But what your real intentions are leak out like pretending Mark Levin really doesn’t bash Trump when in fact he most obviously does and anyone can hear it except those pretending like you to be something you’re not

I see. You're stupid and weird. And you don't like me.

That's OK.

I hold you beneath contempt, so we're even.

Have a lovely rest of your life.

Purist is someone exactly like Mark Levin. To get all Merriam Webster here, it's someone ideological at the expense of being practical, flexible, pragmatic. Needs a candidate to show an exaggerated preponderance of alignment with a person's own dogmatics(His love of Ted Cruz demonstrated this). One thing that can never be compromised is my faith in Jesus Christ, that is immutable and I'm a purist with that as we are told to be. Politicians I give a wider berth

Purism as Mark Levin has demonstrated and spoken about, is a religious like philosophical immutability to broad political slogans and theories. He literally worships at the altar of the mutterings of such 18th-century luminaries as De Tocqueville , Irishman Edmund Burke and some of our Founding Fathers. The Founding Fathers were brilliant no doubt, but unlike the Bible the Declaration of Ind and Constitution has logical holes, contradictions and omissions..as most human originated documents have. No term limits on Congress, no way to effectively and easily overrule the SC, slavery, etc. Being the best system of government ever still is not even in the same universe as a religious faith. It's still trying to perfect humanity, which is impossible. All we can do is mitigate the disaster that is human nature. Sorry Mark, if we could resurrect Reagan and had a super majority of Conservatives, I doubt this country would be near what you think it could be. American gets the government it deserves.

I would disagree with you as to whether the Constitution has "logical holes." It is not a philosophic document, but a delegation of functions (powers & duties) to a new Federal Government, which defines what that political agency should do, can do, and cannot do.

My beef with any Trump disparager who claims to be both a strict constructionist and a Conservative, is that he is ignoring the clearly stated intention of the Constitution in the preamble--and thus not really the "purist," that you describe--and thus is neither logically ideological nor practical & pragmatic.

See Who We Are?.

His attitude seems to be “I’ll vote for the guy but I don’t have to like him.”

That's it. It's like Trump is somebody at the office who got the top job and Mark is sniping and making behind the scenes passive aggressive comments -- something that happens in real life -- than he's part of Trump's (or Hillary's) campaign.

I've only been listening for a little while, but I'm starting to get tired of Levin. First of all, he's way too much of a monologist. And he's not entertaining enough to pull it off. Secondly, he takes the Conservative Establishment at its word too much. He complains that Trump & Co. aren't going to decrease the size of government, as though his own group is actually going to do that. He believes all the best about his own side and all the worst about its opponents in the GOP or conservative movement.
