Apparently more than some people

Because you can see the wisdom of letting a very dangerous corporation continue to exploit and manipulate the public?

I don't see that as being wise at all.

yes - corporations are dangerous and evil.

Straw man. *THIS* corporation is dangerous and evil.

I see your wisdom now.

And yes, recognizing that these people have the power and *DO* manipulate elections, is wiser than not recognizing it.

provided the participants all behave ethically

That is not how the free market economy runs and it has nothing to do with some imagined "karma."

The free market works purely on self-interest, which is God-given, and voluntary (not government-mandated) cooperation of those who choose to buy and sell for their own best interests. That's how freedom works. Freedom in general is individuals free to live as they see fit provided they don't interfere with others' freedom. The free market is freedom in action.

In the area of monopolies and cartels, government has done way more harm than good. Today, the government encourages monopolies, fueled by corrupt officials taking bribes from special interests. As Reagan said, "Government isn't the solution, government IS the problem."

What stops monopolies is the innovation of the market economy, ever disrupting and competing with status quo. The free market is your friend. It supplies your demand. The government is certainly NOT your friend. It was never created to be your friend, nor is government capable of being your friend.

Putting government over free enterprise is like putting the fox inside the hen-house. Government by far done more to weak havoc in our economy than anything else. You think Goggle is a threat to the nation? Google doesn't hold a candle to the threat of the unconstitutional $4 trillion federal government.

Google works, as does the free market itself, by people voluntarily using and buying Goggle products. Nobody forces you to use Google. You are free to say "no" to Google and go to a competitor. But the government works only by force and coercion. Saying "no" to government puts you in jail.

Don't let your dogmatic distrust of freedom blind you from seeing the threat of the tyranny of the unconstitutional federal government. There are many so-called conservatives out there who distrust freedom. What they don't get is there is only one alternative to freedom - the tyranny of government force and coercion. "Conservatives" who want tyranny over freedom? I'll take freedom any day and side with those who will fight for freedom "at the point of bayonet" if necessary, as Reagan also once said.

I do not believe you have accurately addressed any point.

You have given me a series of catechisms and quasi-logical arguments without really addressing the problem we are currently facing.

I don't feel like wading through specifics to rebut you, because from what I have read of your spiel, I think you will regard a different perspective as "heresy."

Sorry, but i'm not dressed for Church.

This isn’t religion. It is life. Many people have died for the freedom you take for granted and are seemingly willing to abandon.

The light of freedom is a bright and shining light and apparently doesn’t shine in your dark “Lamp” I guess.

And the tyranny of the federal government isn’t about religious “heresy”, although Robert Bork did say they were committing legal heresy. The tyranny of the federal government is about violating the Supreme Law of the Land, the Constitution, which rule of law ensures freedom for Americans.

You’re on the wrong side, FRiend.

It still has not yet dawned on you that Google is effectively part of the government now.

Then the answer is not more government. The answer is getting the government OUT of free enterprise and the feds promotion and protection of Google is a PERFECT example why.
