How Hurricane Matthew could really hurt Hillary Clinton
New York Post ^ | October 7, 2016 | Daniel Halper

Refusing to bow to a request made by the Clinton campaign, Florida Gov. Rick Scott said his state won’t extend its Oct. 11 voter-registration deadline, despite the potential for massive devastation caused by Hurricane Matthew.

A lawyer working at a firm that’s represented the Clinton campaign signaled that a lawsuit may be coming soon.

“Well @FLGovScott I know some folks who are gonna have the last say on this. And none of them is you. #seeyouincourt,” Perkins Coie lawyer Jean-Jacques Cabou said on Twitter.

Are winds in excess of 140 mph strong enough to blow hanging chads out of voting cards?

Not if she’s tied to a sturdy tree. All’s she’ll get then is a good bath.

GOVERNOR SCOTT is within his Constitutional rights to deny an extension of the October 11 early voting deadline.

Certainly an activist judge could use any reason to make any decision, if it were seen to benefit the Democrats. I know that’s how the world works.

But strictly from a legal standpoint, I do not see how weather can force a state government to ignore a deadline which has been mandated by a signed law. The state can ignore it if it wants to. Or not. Taking them to court and trying to force them to ignore the deadline ought to be laughable.

From what I’ve read, Gov Scott doesn’t have legal authority to extend the deadline. The FL legislature has to do it.

So typical of sociopath Hillary. In the midst of a disaster, she thinks only of herself.

Trump made a statement yesterday that was totally appropriate. He offered prayers, commented on the people of FL, his friends and investments there and told people in the path to listen to Gov Scott and get out.

I’m stunned. Based on his handling of several other issues I had this guy pegged as a GOPe linguini spine.

So while these dopes waste time finding a Judge. Let’s get a bus full of Deplorables to arrive in FLA and help clean up. What is really the priority. Dems always come across as petty.

If there is widespread damage and suffering, the Democrats will look very bad, if their main focus is in court, trying to force a change to a long standing voter registration issue.

Hillary doesn’t want to discuss Haiti and how her brother got rich ripping off the poor Haitians thanks to the Clinton Foundation.

Yeah, I'm surprised she hasn't already announced the filing of a lawsuit in federal court to force Rick Scott to extend.

I would have expected one of her "superlawyers" to be flying in to center of the storm to file papers. David Bois, was that his name? I can't remember. The Clintons seemed to have a number of extremely high-priced attorneys who could force pretty much anything they wanted to a hearing before one of their supporters on the Federal bench, followed by a writ or an injunction commanding whomsoever to accede to the latest Clinton whim.

Probably in the works as we speak.

Some of this stuff is almost like the old SNL routine that Al Franken did (back when he was occasionally funny):

“There was an incident at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant. People say it could be pretty serious. It could be years before we really know the answers to some of our questions. But at this time, I think people are ignoring the question which is really most important of all: How does Three Mile Island affect me — Al Franken?”

Then you don't know much about the governor. He's been put through hell by the media and is under constant attack from the Florida Bolsheviks. Even so, he remains calm and rarely wavers. He has a titanium spine. Hope he runs for US Senate next.

Why is it that every 2 or 4 years, Democrat voters haven’t had time to register or get an ID? And why doesn’t their party spend the next 2 years helping D voters register and get IDs.

From their arguments in court it sounds like millions of Ds around the country cannot petition the government for redress (1st amendment right), buy a gun (2nd), drive, buy alcohol, fly, and many other things the rest of us take for granted every day. Dems could help their supporters so much by helping them get IDs for daily life not just to vote for a D. And they could register voters while they are at it.

Or maybe it’s not about the real voters but about waiting to the last minute to see who has died or moved recently.

Hillary hopes for early voting because she’ll be losing support from here on. I think she and Bill a re beginning to get subtly schlonged by the media.

Yup- Been saying she was going to go judge shopping on this ever since I heard the governor’s reply. The democrats must have had a whole lot of cheating registrations they didn’t have time to get done.

The democrats have had judges extend deadlines for far less reasons. There is a judge out there to give them anything they want these days. Part of the plan.

But, but,,,,,, I heard James Carville say, that people will die without the Clinton foundation. Apparently they have done some good works with AIDS drugs in the 3rd world????

If the Clinton foundation is so laudable, why was the Clinton foundation not mentioned at all at Hillary’s convention?????

Why did nobody cite the Clinton foundation as an great example of the Clinton’s generosity and their love of humanity?????
