Another fake story. If it were true, the witnesses would have names, and the site would be photographed and specified.

A Pizza Hut should be put there so no one can tell when we’re up to no good by the number of pizza deliveries

Why would they have names? Especially what with Obama on the prowl, aka Mr. War-Of-Choice?

Nothing fake about it. Iraq’s known for this stuff in its embassies all over the world, such as Iraq’s embassy in Spain.

That’s Arab Leaders for you.

Perhaps breaking up the Ottoman Empire wasn’t such a great idea after all.

This is not the result of breaking up the Ottoman Empire, but allowing it to reassemble itself via the UN (first iteration of that being the Arab League).

If the Ottoman Empire were still there, the Holocaust would have been much, much easier and we would never have had a state of Israel—not to mention that we would have had a far bigger Axis to deal with during WWII.

The mission, located close to the home of the city's former mayor, Michael Bloomberg, was raided in 2003 following Saddam's fall from power in Iraq by federal investigators. The two men believe all evidence of wrongdoing was removed.

That is during the Bush era.

At a time when Bush greatly wanted to present evidence of Sadaam's tyranny - and was reaching for straws, such as the fake "people shredding machine" story - why would they cover up the presence of a torture room in New York?

Why wouldn’t they? Bush is a liberal like the rest of them; why wouldn’t he also cover up the evidence of WMDs like he did? (which popped up later in some cases, most notably the yellowcake they shipped to Canada.)

And here I thought that this would be consistent with the current narrative of Sunni extremists being the primary danger out of Islam, too. But that’s OK; there must be no danger from Islam at all, is that it.

Oh say it isn’t so - the strongman of Iraq, driven unfairly from power by the evil George W Bush - it just can’t be....

Despite the fact that Bush is an employee of the Saudis, there still exist Bush fans?

???? Bush went to great trouble to launch the invasion of Iraq. His govt was badly embarrassed by the failure to find justifications, and put out many false tales, like the Niger uranium deal, and the weird "I was raped by Uday Hussein" torture stories of Jumana Hanna.

Surely, if they could have found real evidence, such as this torture centre, they would have displayed it, not covered it up.

As the article says, it was gone by 2003 when the place was raided. Plenty of time to clean house, at least on that scare; Bush gave multiple warnings over the airwaves instead of adhering to some of the most basic principles of war, among them being secrecy and diversion.

Chemical weapons, we only have to ask Assad.

Hard to see how Bush would be on the payroll of the Sunni Saudis to take out the minority-Sunni dictatorship of Saddam and liberate the majority Shiites in Iraq - but anything’s possible - anyhow you don’t have to be a “fan” of Bush to appreciate his try and near success in establishing a stable American foothold in the region and averting the imminent takeover of Iraq by Iran and Russia....

The article is rather poorly worded - it is unclear. Now that I re-read it, it is possibly as you say, that they mean that everything was cleared away before the federal agents raided. That, at least, would make sense.

However, as it is written, it seems to make the assertion that everything was cleared away by the federal agents at the time of the raid. Which would be passing odd.

I do hope that Assad has some harsh weapons to drop on the heads of the head chopping savages who have invaded Syria.

These are dark days. I really believe that we could see WW3 break out in the Middle East.

That's a pretty stupid comment, considering that Saddam steam rolled Kuwait and then Saudi Arabia would be next. Saddam's dictatorship was secular Baathist by the way. But that has nothing to do with it.

Actually, Saddam was next on the menu - he won previous wars with Iran with US help, but he wasn’t going to get that after Kuwait - his military was in shambles with a lot of it smoldering along the Highway of Death into Baghdad - they lasted about ten days against the US and wouldn’t have survived much longer the next time Iran invaded - within a few years Iraq would have become a part of Iran, along with its chemical weapons dumps and yellowcake.....
