(CNSNews.com) - "I think this was a terrible error in judgment by the director to release this kind of ambiguous letter," Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the ranking member of the House intelligence committee, told ABC's "This Week."
"That kind of an ambiguity bomb this close to election was a terrible lapse in judgment," Schiff said. "The DOJ policies against making a statement about a pending or closed case -- and certainly not doing it in the days leading up to an investigation -- is there for a reason. It's designed to ensure fairness.
"It's also designed to ensure that the FBI is not put in a position of appearing to put its hand on the political scales. And this may or may not have been in the director's interest. But it clearly wasn't in the public interest."
In his Oct. 28 letter to Congress, Comey said the FBI, in connection with an unrelated case, learned about emails that "appear to be pertinent" to the Clinton email investigation. Comey admitted that the FBI "cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant." But he agreed that the FBI should review the emails "to determine whether they contain classified information."
"What is the public to make of this letter?" Schiff asked. "And how is the secretary to defend against this kind of innuendo? So I think it was a terrible mistake. I do think the director ought to do his best to clean it up."

ABC’s This Week spent the first twenty minutes with George Stephanopoulos being incredulous about the Comey notification. Just think about that for a minute a news show in full propaganda mode- no attempt to even appear interested in what they may have discovered only that Comey was wrong.. George was livid and it showed.

Remember... Weiner and Huma WERE the “would be” power couple of the future. Him a six term congressmen and later a lobbyist, her second banana to the second most powerful democrat in the country. It’s entire plausible they traded intel, rumor, banter, rants, etc. Anything that might bolster their standing as a power couple. This could all be incredibly damning and celasious.
