Maybe racist to say this, but, how many members of youth gangs, who are out in the streets doing God knows what, will want to get into these training programs? How many will stick with it? How many will stick it out, to get to the point where they get an electrician’s license or a contractors license?

Just in general, job training programs sound good. But haven’t we done a lot in this area over many decades, with mixed results?? What will this tollway program do any differently than other such efforts?

You still need basic skills to do most jobs, like reading,writing and some math. Most of these people do not have the basics so in effect they are useless. I include a lot of white kids I have come across over the years that cannot even read a rulers gradiations.
