Former Attorney General Eric Holder joins Bill Maher to discuss the aftermath of Donald Trump's election and calls for the abolition of the Electoral College.
Holder said the U.S. should elect presidents via popular vote instead of through electoral votes. The former attorney general said there is a simple solution, "we have to just abolish the electoral college."

Yes, and when the voting system is cleaned up, with valid photo IDs required everywhere, and democrats receive only valid votes from valid Americans, and then still lose, they will scream for the electoral college to be restored.

Electoral College does a reasonable job of keeping voting balanced. Popular vote would be VERY unbalanced.
I have no desire to see my red vote in South Carolina preempted by a bunch of blue votes from the NE or the West Coast.
I live in SC for a reason.
How about we just have states split their votes based on congressional districts or maybe counties?

Undereducated people such as Eric Holder fail to understand that the Electoral College is there to protect them from tyranny. Their lack of knowledge of American history and their failure to understand the profound wisdom of the Founders causes people such as Eric Holder to speak as fools.
