Donald Trump is not happy Mike Pence wasn't welcomed with open arms by Broadway on Friday night.
Trump demanded that the cast of Hamilton apologize to the Vice president-elect after they stopped the show to address him directly about their fears.
The president-elect, who took to Twitter on Saturday morning to complain, claimed the cast had 'harassed' Pence.
'Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing,' Trump wrote. 'This should not happen!'
'The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!'
But the Hamilton cast began their address, which was delivered by actor Brandon Dixon, by thanking Pence for coming to the show.
'Vice president-elect Pence we welcome you and truly thank you for joining us here,' Dixon, who plays Aaron Burr, said onstage.
Dixon then told Pence that the cast was a reflection of the Americans who were worried about their future following the presidential election.
'We sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights,' he said.
'But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our Americans values and to work on behalf of all of us. All of us.'
Dixon was quick to defend the cast on Saturday morning, directly replying to Trump's tweets.
'Conversation is not harassment sir,' Dixon wrote. 'And I appreciate Mike Pence for stopping to listen.'

It was a disgrace, but did they “stop the show?” I thought it had ended and Pence was leaving.
They should note that concerning all the calls to “come together” that it’s a two-way street.
There’s no coming together with people who hate you.

That practically fossilized media dinosaur Leslie asked him about it. He said can reach 28 million people so when the media is unfair he can fight back. He took his campaign message directly to the people, and with his social media reach has an great connection directly to the people.
Marketing 101 - Insulting customers isn’t a strategy for success.
That show looks like a mess anyway. I’ve seen some of the “highlights”. Had no interest in ever seeing it, this just seals the deal.
First sentence is misdirection. I didn’t read after that because it is probably fake news.
Hopefully the show will now need to try to make it with half or less the audience size it might have otherwise had.
Sounds like a crap show anyway.

These liberals just don’t get it. They want to stop and Make everyone listen to their grievances....wa.wa.wa. And yet they fail to put in practice rules of decent behavior. Pence went to a Broadway play, not a political forum. Let the man and your audience enjoy what they came there for. Talk with him AFTER the show....

Why elevate this same-old, same-old shopworn tripe by attending? Ignore it, ignore the canned glowing reviews by people with the exact same agenda. Let them rave to themselves, go see it again and again, pronounce it better than Cats. Again.
