Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange has overtaken President-elect Donald Trump for the lead in the online poll of who readers think should be TIME’s Person of the Year in 2016, as of 1:00 p.m. Eastern on Monday.

On Monday morning, Assange and Trump were deadlocked with 9% of all the “yes” votes cast by participants, but Assange pulled ahead to 10% shortly after noon.

Unfortunately, that’s changing. And Trump is losing ground.

If Trump is not person of the year, Time is a bigger joke than imagined.

How about:

We The People, with Trump front and center, Assange on one side and James O’Keefe on the other.

Being on the cover of “Time” is no longer a noteworthy/laudatory thing......hasn’t been for quite a while.

Does anyone really believe Time would make President-elect Trump “Man of the Year”? ROTFL. They’ll probably give it to Clintoonie.

Sure, Assange can be 2016’s MOTY, he needs all the help he can get. Trump’s gonna own 2017-2025.

Nigel Farage would be an excellent choice. My hat's off to Assange, and of course, Mr. Trump.

But Time will be reluctant to name Trump because he's the obvious choice and their leftist bias.

My guess is they will choose a class of people -- the Deplorables, the ones who stood in line for hours at his rallies and ultimately prevailed.

Much as I hate to read the bias of Time magazine, we must thank them for the splendid story early on 2015 when they brought an eagle to Trump's office.

Why would anyone care about ‘Time’ magazine anymore? It’s a liberal rag designed to appeal to ‘the bubble’... not vast majority of the rest of us.

I’ve been predicting that Time - in a slap of the face to Trump - will declare Obama the man of the year, for the Iran deal and other bogus achievements. Or, maybe with this “fake news” meme spreading, they will nominate the “alt-right hate machine” or some similar collective entity.

Samantha Bee? Lebron James? People who vote like that are the kind of morons who take Time seriously.
