When elderly World War II veterans go to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to receive urgent care, they may be greeted by child molesters, ex-convicts, men with face tattoos and gun-wielding rapists.
Eleven sex offenders list the John D. Dingell VA Hospital in Detroit as their work address. Within the VA’s regional office for Ohio, Indiana and Michigan, 30 sex predators work at nine facilities, according to the records.

Seriously, this is bad.
The VA in Brooklyn really treats my uncle well. He just got lucky. The horror stories seems to be more south and west.
And that's just the democrat appointees.
And they’re all going to get bonuses!

Besides all that and not infrequent rudeness, when personal belongings are left in “lockers” as the patient goes to xray or another procedure, the patient should not be surprised when what patient left is gone when the patient returns.
Overall, I have been to two very good VAs and two that were not.
The difference was like night and day. And no one really wants to know how to fix them if they are not good. Not really. And if what I read about trying to fire a federal employee is correct they will not be fired while they live. That needs to be fixed and fixed soon.
This kind of crap makes my brain explode. When will sanity FINALLY prevail? I sure as hell hope it starts Jan 20th! Trump needs to publicly talk about this!!! No one can defend it and the cockroaches will scramble once the light is turned on!
I don’t know the answer to this if there is one, but is there a monetary incentive for these facilities to hire these kind of people? Or are job conditions so bad that that the VA’s can’t keep decent people in them?
Overall it looks bad, but I’m willing to give some of these guys some slack depending on the severity of their circumstances.
Turnabout is fair play.
Start paying them with checks.
They have to make an appointment to come and get their check.
No one ever answers the phone.
A number of Nurses have Elder abuse files in states.

Mittens really should run the VA. He gets things done. Good For Republicans even if Trump hates him.
I’ve said it before and I say it again. 90% of all federal government programs and spending are nothing more than work programs for the unemployable.

The VA is a very mixed bag as far as care; however, the bloated bureaucracy is beyond repair. The government works program mentality pervades the entire system and those who do good work do it in spite of it all. I don’t think it’s salvageable.
As a soon eligible vet, I would rather see a good insurance program that allows choice, with the exception of some state-of-the-art facilities for combat-related injuries that should be retained due to the nature of the requirements.
Well...after all...they are democRATs.
There are convicted murderers too.
But as veterans, they get preference points for hiring.
