I’ve seen no evidence whatsoever that Democrats have had such a realization.
Everything I’ve heard and read from them since the election, indicates they believe they failed because they weren’t hard left enough.
They’re already doubling down on the liberal policies and agenda that have brought them to brink of extinction.
I've seen several safe democrats saying the party needs to swing back toward the center and address the issues affecting middle america.
What you don't see is party leaders doing it because their donor base is far left radical progressives, they need to tread water lightly and not piss them off...
You will see a strong emphasis on their old 50 state strategy building democrat coalitions in states to win back yellow dog democrats...
