Star Trek is clearly marxist.
FTA: President obama had eight years without any ethical shadiness, Thiel replied, But theres a point where no corruption can be a bad thing. It can mean that things are too boring.
He is very stupid or a liar.
Honestly, I’d say Star Trek and Star Wars are BOTH communist in different ways, neither of which are good (then again, when is Marxism/communism EVER good?). Star Trek follows the blueprint of Marx that was officially disseminated (the whole “to each according to his needs according to his own will” garbage). Star Wars, likewise, promoted the practical reality of communism (and Marx’s intention for communism to be an even more gorn remake of the 1793 Reign of Terror as stated in correspondences between himself and Engels) of mass murder for fun plus constant anarchy and tried to promote it as a good thing (don’t forget, the Rebel Alliance was specifically envisioned by George Lucas as being Vietcong expies, while America’s closest equivalent in that series was in fact the Empire).

Also the Ferengi are a sort of smear against capitalism. The Klingons From what I've heard on different forums attack red neck Christians and the Borg is an attack on Christians in General especially since the descriptions of New Jerusalem in the bible are similar to a Borg Cube.
