Mark Levin: Time Patriots Stand Our Ground In Defense Of Donald Trump
Rick Wells ^ | 01/12/17 | Rick Wells

Posted on 01/12/2017 7:39:25 AM PST by Enlightened1

Mark Levin wants to once and for all put the difficult election behind the American patriots, be they Republican or of other persuasions, avid Trump supporters or reluctant, whole-hearted or less so. He says, “It is time. It is time that we stand our ground in defending Donald Trump’s legitimacy and the fact that he is the President-elect and to become the president.”

Levin, who it’s better to have arriving late to the party than out driving around lost in the wrong neighborhood, says, “Because I’m telling you right now and I’ve told you before, the media, the Praetorian Guard media, the Democrat Party, which puts party before country, academia and Hollywood, are seeking a coup of sorts. That’s exactly what they’re doing.”

He continues, “Standing up for Donald Trump in this regard. Not for every issue, not for every nominee, but standing up for Donald Trump is standing up for our Constitution, for the legitimacy of the election. We cannot allow the left and by the left I include the media, we cannot allow the left to decide who’s legitimate and who is not. And keep something in mind – they hate us too.”

Levin points out, “There would be no Jeff Sessions nomination if Hillary Clinton were the President-elect. There’d be no repeal of Obamacare, even an attempted repeal of Obamacare if Hillary Clinton had been elected. And I can go on down the line.”

“What they seek to do,” says Levin, “and they’ve done it even before the man is inaugurated, is to drive issues of controversy. I don’t mean controversy about specific matters, but the fact that he’s president, they want it to be controversial.

Yep. I’m not going to forget that Rush was not on board either. It helps that he seems to be enthusiastically behind Trump these days, though.

Rush was all over the place during the primary, one day he would sound pro-Trump, the next day he would be critical of Trump and praise Cruz, I think a couple times he even sounded like he was pro-Rubio and pro-Jeb.

Rush has always been cagey when it comes to endorsing candidates in primaries, But, once the primary was over and Trump was the nominee, that gave Rush "plausible deniability" when he was criticized for not supporting Trump in the primary, Rush would just pull up the audio from one of the days he praised Trump and say, "No I wasn't! See I was with Trump all along..." (and he would have done the same if Cruz or Rubio would have won).

Perhaps that was a bit spineless, but in the end Rush has a responsibility to his advertisers to hold unto as big an audience as he can, and it wasn't good for business to alienate all the Trump or all the Cruz supporters. So he tried to play it down the middle.

“He stayed neutral until the outcome was evident, then was most certainly on board.”

This meme again. If You had listened to him, you would have heard Rush talk about how Cruz was the closest this generation had to Reagan. And he said Rubio was “a full-throated conservative” in the mold of... Reagan. And we should just ignore all that gang of 8 stuff because he was young and everyone makes mistakes.

sound neutral?

Can you find equal gushing Rush quotes about Trump?

My radio has an off and on switch and a station tuning knob. In Levin’s case, when necessary, I use both of them. Quickly.

My absolute favorite was when they told us McCain and Romney are not perfect but they are far better than Obama.
I didn’t hear that argument being made by any of them about Trump?

Otherwise, i can not for the life of me figure out why McCain Jr has her own radio program?
Who listens to it..? i mean her radio show.

What is there some Levine and Lyn’ Ted rehabilitation project underway? If so, it ain’t working. No one is buying their BS anymore except a few clueless fanatics that are likely still Never Trumpers, even if not admitting it publicly.

I second the motion. Betrayers don’t deserve to have their words taken seriously.

Levin has consistently been poison in the well ever since he became a national figure for no reason other than Clear Channel insisting he get to ride the coattails of Rush Limbaugh... which would be exactly how one would insert such a mole into the conservative mediasphere.

As he is a hypocrite of the highest order, Levin should be viewed with unanimous contempt.

A few facts are relevant:

Mark Levin has been an active and consistent conservative for decades, he has not changed, he did not jump on the Trump train, he did not jump off the Trump chain, rather he had this adhered to constitutional conservatism throughout. Levin was never a never-Trumper, he called issues as he saw them depending on whether Trump's position was conservative or otherwise.

He did not "shill" for Ted Cruz, he supported and advocated on behalf of Ted Cruz as a consistent and principled conservative.

We need more of Mark Levin, not less. If true conservatives had been more vigorous in holding George W. Bush to the flame of truth, we might not have had to endure eight years of Barack Obama. No one is perfect, not Mark Levin, not Ronald Reagan, and certainly not Donald Trump. It is not the individual but the process which will save us. It is not Caesar but separation of powers as defined in the Constitution which is our salvation.

The sooner we understand that conservative values are timeless but people are flawed, the better our understanding and support of Donald Trump when he is truly "right" will prove effective.

The man could not have shown himself to be a dirtier player than what he displayed during the campaign.

How can you defend a man who used his speaking slot at the RNC to all but beg Republicans to vote for Hillary Clinton?

What the hell is wrong with you?

Mark Levin was one of them not holding him to conservative standards.

The most interesting part about how this is all playing out is Trump has chosen Sessions for his AG.
Not exactly a left wing or radical choice for AG?

So far the fear that Trump is what many claimed he was, including Levin, Beck etc is not turning out that way they portrayed him.
Of course, time will tell.

Umm, we’ve been doing that Mark...where have you been? Oh yes, that’s right, you’ve been dissing Trump at every opportunity.

Unbelievable that this #NeverTrumper has the stones to come out and lecture those of us who’ve been supporting Trump to defend him.

Look in the mirror Levin!

Sorry Nate, but you’re delusional! Levin has gone out of his way to hurt Trump, even after he was our candidate in the General. Nice try at defending the indefensible.

It’s dorks like the unlistenable Mark Levin who need to knock off the BS and support Trump.

Should have done so months ago but his oversized sense of importance wouldn’t let him. Just like his idol, Lyin Ted.

The problem is that he trashed Trump all the way to election day. In other words, he was trying to get Hillary elected. AND he was a proven paid shill for Cruz. He’s coming out and saying this because it’s starting to affect his paycheck. I’ve already kicked this skunk to the curb and encourage everybody to do the same. This guy is a conservative who has no problem being a turncoat when he can make a buck off of it. He’s no friend to conservatism. He’s a lawyer by trade, which means that he doesn’t have a conscience.
