SAGINAW (WWJ/AP) – A man whose drug-related prison sentence was commuted in November by President Barack Obama has been fatally shot at a federal halfway house in Michigan after two men with assault-style rifles sought him out, police said.
Two men wearing masks went into Bannum Place in Saginaw on Monday night with plans to kill 31-year-old Damarlon Thomas, a former Saginaw gang member. Lt. David Kaiser said Thomas was shot several times by one of the men as some of the roughly two dozen people at the home were held at gunpoint.

We have to give Obama credit for where credit is due. It was the best way for these prisoners to be dealt with what is coming to them. Swift justices happens outside not in the prison systems. Now think of all the money the taxpayers are going to save. I bet most of those who got pardon by Obama are going to end up dead on the streets. Thanks Obama. LOL

Since people in this line of work, at least at this level, don’t really keep up with current events, Maybe, just Maybe, local LEOs are spreading rumors the only reason these guys are out is because they named names and the warrants are coming.

I disagree. That comment would be appropriate if he was killed in the commission of a crime, preferably by an armed citizen or law enforcement PRIOR to any other person being killed or hurt.
In this instance, the man in question was evidently minding his own business at a halfway house. He was a criminal in the past, he may or may not have been planning another crime. For all we know, he actually wanted to start over after receiving commutation.
Instead, a couple of thugs decided to settle a score or eliminate a potential threat by holding people at gunpoint, finding this guy, and executing him.
Nothing to celebrate until the two killers are found and executed in accordance with the law.
I don’t consider this justice.
Justice would have been the original sentence.
Obama screwed justice up big time. Again.
