SAGINAW (WWJ/AP) – A man whose drug-related prison sentence was commuted in November by President Barack Obama has been fatally shot at a federal halfway house in Michigan after two men with assault-style rifles sought him out, police said.
Two men wearing masks went into Bannum Place in Saginaw on Monday night with plans to kill 31-year-old Damarlon Thomas, a former Saginaw gang member. Lt. David Kaiser said Thomas was shot several times by one of the men as some of the roughly two dozen people at the home were held at gunpoint.

This criminal was being hunted by former associates and/or opponents.
Crime has many prices, only one of which is governmental punishment.
Perhaps the only time during his entire presidency.

Doesn’t this remind you of the video of a bunch of leftists who nursed an oil soaked bird back to health and had a big self congratulatory ceremony thanking gia and all to mark the bird’s return to health. Then came the big moment and they released their feathered soul mate back into the wild. They watched proudly as he soared into the sky for about 5 seconds until an eagle swooped in grabbed their little pal and flew off into the sun. The crowd gasped; but it was too late! Such is life in the real world.
I would suggest that the two hitmen, and this is a hit, are more dangerous, because of the brazen nature of the attack. They didn’t follow him and get him on the street. The invaded the building and hunted him down, and apparently shot him in front of multiple witnesses. They are sending a message, and they don’t care who knows.

The hitmen didn’t kill everyone in the house, though. They just took out the one guy.
That discipline might make them less dangerous in an overall sense. Your mileage may vary.

How about if the two hit men were Friends of Obama who needed someone let out so they could get at him.
True, however this man was not convicted of a violent crime. There is no reason to celebrate his death. He may or may not have reformed, only the Lord knows his heart.
His killing is an offense to society greater that his own offenses were. His death was unjust and the killers should face justice.

What had the eagle done to be incarcerated to begin with? Eat members of endangered species?
I could just as easily tell it as family members of a deceased drug addict this perp fed to his/her oblivion with drugs. I'd be very tempted to terminate such vermin if I had a family member destroyed by such a thugs has been gunned down ... buy I would do it at distance, with sound suppression.
Now this is what I call social justice!
